Need help with Field capacity

Hello friends. I am doing Damonions coir tek and used a whole brick of coir, 2 quarts vermiculite, and 4 quarts of water as instructed. I stirred it after 30 minutes and have left it to cool for about two hours. I went to check for field capacity and it is a little too wet. Would it be okay for me to just squeeze out the excess moisture until it reaches field capacity? Should I add a little more vermiculite? And if I should add more vermiculite does it need to be pasteurized? Or could I just throw like an extra quart in the bucket with the coir? Any help would be appreciated. Much love.

you can add some verm straight out the bag. i prefer to use bods bucket tek myself, perfect field capacity everytime. straight coir holds water quite well by itself also.

Yeahan jist add a bit of verm till you get a good field capacity. No need to do anything just throw it in.

You can do the same with water if it's ever too dry.

Bucket Tek by bod is basically the same except he uses a cooler.

Preheats with boiling water, then dumps.out and adds ingredients (coir, verm) and boiling 4qt. Water. Let's sit overnight
