Field Capacity and Cakes

Well my question is, should the entire BRF PF tek cake be at field capacity or not.
What I did was put a cup of verm into a bowl and added a bunch of water, let it sit for 10 seconds and then strained it in a colander for 2 minutes. Then I mixed the wet verm with a 1/2 cup of Brown Rice Flour (Thats a 2:1 ratio, right?). Was this right? or should the entire cake be at field capacity?

I'm not a PF man, but I once answered this question as yes the whole cake should be at field capacity, and silly me...I was wrong. The verm should be at field capacity, then you add dry BRF. Looks like you did it right.

Either way, thisll get it a bump and looked at by others :smile:

-2/3 cup Verm
-1/4 cup brf

x 4 = 5 half pint jars.

This is the Maximum fruiting formula...the one that I use.
