ID request

Habitat:found growing around a dead tree stump in a well shaded area. Roswell,NM, USA 3,500' elevation
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.

Gills:light brownish to dark purplish black with age
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.

Stem:3.5" cream white, hollow, thick
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.

Cap:1.5" metallic golden, dark purple
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color:purplish, brownish
Very important!

Bruising:dark purple
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Are these edible magic?

Appears to be something like Coprinopsis atramentaria, plus a few Lacrymaria lacrymabunda.

It is what Anglerfish said it was he is a TI a "trusted Identifier" which pretty much means he is a mushroom expert so you can definitely trust him.

You have much to learn about this website, TIs are the number one guys to trust with mushroom identification.
They are experts in the way of identifying  mushrooms and in my opinion Anglerfish is one of the best on here but there are many other great TIs who are extremely helpful and 100% trust worthy and they are rarely wrong so no need to doubt their IDs especially when you are the one asking for help and know nothing about mushrooms and they know what they are talking about.

I would not eat them, while I dont think they are poisonous they are not psychedelic nore good for culinary purposes.

No one thinks your ignorant buddy, its obvious you are new to the shroomery and I just wanted to inform you about TI's and they are definitely trustworthy.
You can tell someone is a TI because it is labeled under their name and directly below their avatar.

Im sorry if it came off to you as dickish on my part because I definitely didn't mean for it to sound like that?
I would suggest you start off in the "Getting Started" forum at the top of the list of forums, it has all the information  you need to know about things like this so you understand how things work around here because it can definitely be difficult for new people to use these forums correctly and know what and where to look for certain things.
There are certain places to post different subjects, topics and questions.
It can be confusing at first but it doesn't take long to get adjusted and figure things out and once you do it will make your experience on here so much easier and less of a hassle.

Definitely check out the "Getting Started" forum, it will help you immensely and will get you on your way to being a regular member that will be way more successful in knowing how to do things around here rather than just learn what you can as you go along. Not to mention people will appreciate a noob not asking a million questions on how to do this and that.

Anyway sorry if I sounded like a dick I definitely didn't mean to come off that way at all.

Its best to know how to do things on this website because if you just wander around here making mistakes and asking questions members who have been around for a while have heard a million times they tend to get impatient and irritated over someone who just wants to learn and they treat you like a retard and act like complete ass holes.

Im not saying every one on here is like that, there are alot of good people willing to help out as well but a good majority of members on here act like dick head just to be dick heads and try to make you look stupid when all you want to do is learn.

Dont let fuck heads on here get to you because there are alot of them and they will piss you off at some point with their know it all arrogant attitudes.
Like I said though there are alot of awesome people on here who will treat you with respect and help you out when they can but I would say as many good people around here there are just as many ass holes so dont let it get to you.

This is a great website and ive had alot of fun and learned alot of stuff on here but if you fall in to the trap of some of the trolls on here that all they want to do is start arguments and piss you off it will get you in trouble by you reacting to them with anger and saying shit that will end up getting you banned from here.
It has almost happened to me a couple time falling for these trolls that will get you so pissed off that you end up saying stupid shit that will get you banned. So dont let the cunts around here get the best of you and just ignore fuckers who have nothing better to do except to try and make you look stupid or being a complete cock sucker just to be a cock sucker.
