I was disappointed when someone sold me "Strawberry Cough" and it didn't taste anything like strawberries. Maybe that's not what it was. The flavor was very distinct though. I ordered some Strawberry Ice and Blueberry Kush. Berry tasting weed was pretty common when I started smoking in the 90s.

Blueberry Kush ( if it's the OG BK) is a go-to for relaxing times.  I love it.  Love growing it, love smelling it, love trimming it, love passing out on the couch with the bowl still smoking in my hand.

I've had strawberry cough that tasted exactly like strawberries.  Pheno and grower dependent as always.  There's an indica dom cross of SC called strawberry fields, highly recommend.

For sativas/hybrids, we have some stuff around here called Mt Hood Magic Durban (DPxNL5) that is absolutely amazing.  Smiles and good times laughing.

Everyone ridiculing the prices, they are very fair for something sold directly by the government.

They are no different than recreational prices in Colorado.
It has been several years since legalization here, and recreational prices have dropped about 20% o flower. Maybe even 30% on items such as concentrates.

What it comes down to, is that medical dispensaries selling me $2 grams of top shelf bud, $15 grams of shatter, 500mg edibles branded and packaged edibles for $20 are not making money off of it. They are doing the community a service, and making their money on the rec end of their stores.

I remember reading an article a few years back about how weed in CO would drop to 25 cents a gram in a few years, and it has as far as what the wholesaler is selling it for. But you guys can't expect the consumer price to be that low anytime soon, if ever.

Be grateful for what you have. This is a good thing for Canada and the rest of the world.

I think some weed is named because of the way it smells when growing because I grew some Gelato strain and at one point it had a creamy smell similar to an ice cream store. It went away after a day unfortunately and now it smells funny. It might have to go into the hash pile.

Not going out to buy anything,
online sales seem to give a price of about 12 dollars per gram here in Manitoba
but online is apparently already sold out and there are lineups at the handful of stores in the city
not sure what, if any, there will be in way of price variation
or if lower prices are limited to the 'compassionate pricing' medical program
do need to check in and find out if any of my medical documents need to be updated for home grow

am very much grateful for what progress has been made
the federal government has also announced they are giving pardons for previous possession charges

it is only really irritating in knowing how (little) the cost of growing cannabis is
especially with companies talking about being less than a dollar per gram to grow but charging closer to 10 per gram for patients

I has to be expensive so they can make lots of money on it? Is this an apple product we are talking about or a plant? Colorado bitched out. The state got comfy so they could make the dinero. Not a good example at all, just an example. I'd rather we be the good example in all honest. Like I said, now is THE TIME to be complaining. Not that I think my opinion will make waves here, but as fellow flippity head men we need to band together and go for the kill. We've lowered their defenses. All we need is one fat guy to spearhead our cannabis infused phalanx and strike hard at their little square hearts

If by bitching out and becoming comfy in order to make profit off of out of state residents coming here to just get high in order to improve our schools, and overall infrastructure, then yes, we have.

I appreciate your viewpoint, sincerely. I respect resistance when rooted in bettering the world, or weed in this case for the general populous. I just think that some sort of grassroots weed movement is far past what is viable nowadays in North America. No pun intended.

I didn’t look around the site too much, just ordered something quick to say I did. 

At my regular online company it can run as cheap as $130 for a “cheap ounce” or to $7-$10 or so for some different strains.

Ofcourse the government is going to charge more.  I’m glad that in Ontario it will be sold by private vendors.  Hopefully this keeps it competitive and prices down.  The definite bonus is that we have the option to grow our own.  I’m not a heavy user but beleive in the cause and our freedoms.

It would have been cheaper and easier to keep things as they were.  But this is one step closer to the freedom we need.  It will also help people get pardons for ridiculous possession charges.

Some prices are outrageous and the medical site I'm with has increased their prices by a lot :/

There are some alright prices but where I live there's only 4 types of weed to choose from.

Congratulations Canada!  This is a BIG day.  A major milestone in marijuana history.  I'm so happy to see this happen.  Congrats to an entire country that won't have their lives ruined for using marijuana.  Only the second one in the world after Uruguay, and by far the biggest.

I ordered some from the Alberta website they sent me a tracking # already.
Shocked it is in the mail the same day, I figured it would a slow process. My order was like #1400 so they must have a unionized packaging sweatshop filling up bubble mail envelopes

I have a bunch of stores in my area but they aren't open yet. I have been smoking the best triple A from BC for reasonable price for long ass time so this 11 dollar a gram legal shit better be damn good, or I am staying black market

My biggest beef now is the lack of places to consume in my area, I go to Toronto and Vancouver and they have places with potios. If you live in a non smoking building you can't legally toke anywhere in Calgary which is crazy. Like IDGAF and smoke where ever and they won't catch me but you still have to watch for cops.
