ID Request. Possible Semilanceata/ Mystery shroomie

Habitat In tall wet grass. Next to a wood but in grasslands/Nature Reserve with Cattle Grazing. Sea level. Rural U.K.

Gills:
Greyish/Black some white/cream fringes. Medium spacing with no apparent attachment to stem.

Stem:
8cm, Hollow. Quite firm to handle. Twisting lines spiralling up the stem. Tones of white/cream also light brown(redddish). No apparent bluing. Splittable.

Cap:
3cm width. 2.5cm height, caramel brown when wet drying to a lighter brown, smooth when wet. Slightly gelatinous, Flying Saucer shape with a broad umbo ( 1-1.5cm), gills visible through cap. No skirt although gills slightly visible from base of cap. Deposited black/purple spore on cap from neighbour. No bruising per say although some vague tones of green...

Spore print color:
Purple Brown/ Purple Black. Heavy deposits in short time frame. Inline with gill structure.

Bruising:
No apparent heavy bruising yet some greenish tones to affected areas. Very light. Stem has some blackening where pressure applied. Quite forcefully. (Inexperienced observations: Light silvery tones. Beautiful red/brown spiral when drying). There has been very heavy rainfall and I'm unsure as to how this could effect bruising.

Other information:
Growing individually but in close proximity to one another. Unable to observe mycelium  due to heavy downpours. In long gross as described in a mossy area. No pictures in situ' yet in tall wet grass. (Approx 30cm).

I really can't ID this but my guess is Mycena sp. .

Regarding Serotonin, your body will be only negatively effected since it will not pass the brain blood membrane and it will cause stomachache or other kinds of pains, and it is useless.

Mycena species have white spore print, so not Mycena.

Did you consider them being just large P. semilanceata?

The largest one I ever found was probably 5 centimeters across, it looked pretty much like yours.

Looks to be a psilocybe. Maybe this could be p. stripctes (misspelt i know)

I would have never guessed Psilocybe Semilanceata Angler fish but when you said that I started looking at the photos closer and it does have alot of traits of Semilanceata hmmmmmm?
I would like to see what more of the TI's think about this find? Angler fish is probably right on though with P. Semilanceata because I do see some similarities but lets hear some more opinions from some other TI's?

Thanks for heading over Anglerfish. I'm completely new to mycology but as most people say... it found me. They're are brilliant specimens in the area. Couldn't help but notice them. I was inclined towards azurescens due to the saucer shape. Only 2 miles inland to the coast... saw some 2 foot corals just yesterday, strong garlic smell. In a shape that could only be described as a renowned fertility symbol.. they were growing from an egg like sac. Literally looked as if it was an egg in itself. I'm digressing apologies. I appreciate your input... learning everyday. I didn't assume semilanceata due to the size. To note: they're has been unbelievable rains and a very temperate fall season.

Even though it's not officially deprecated, P. strictipes is generally acknowledged as synonymous to P. semilanceata.
However I don't know the exact details about this, I guess Alan could explain it with some clarity.

It is very unlikely that you'll find P. azurescens in the UK.

First ones kinda look like a cross begween azures and cyans.

Are crosses possible?
Thus far spore prints are indefinitely purple brown, galerina being rusty orange/ brown?


Still looking for a positive ID... been reading P. Stamets guide... so many variables.

After observing some Hypholoma dispersum I noticed that the cap margin tended to be somewhat lighter... The example added later appeared to have quite a dark skirt like margin. Possibly, as you say, the maturity of the specimen? Thoughts? The sizing seems more relative to hypholoma dispersum .

It doesn't look like a P. semilanceata to me, hypholoma is what I am thinking.

What lead me to think Psilocybe in the first place is the striate cap margin and the olive brown tinge in the first specimens you posted.

Then looking at your updated shots I see the fibrillose stem typical for H. dispersum.
The typically whitish cap margin in that species will normally darken in age.

How is the stem texture? Tough or pliant?
