Television will always show what it thinks it can sell.

Right now, homosexuality is in. Reguardless of how much of the population is gay, it's selling like hot cakes.

So they'll keep making TV about it... Until it stops selling.

No point complaining, it'll change in a few years or so.

There is a point in complaining when the change that's coming is more controversy and more and more ridiculous stories simply to keep people engaged. Nancy Grace is a great example of this. Jake and Logan Paul are more modern examples. As gays move out, transgenderism comes in. But what's next?

Look to YouTube and Gaia.com as some change that is coming / already here. We've got insane conspiracy videos and pseudo-spiritual bullshit selling like hot cakes also. It's confusing a lot of people and even radicalizing some.

Discourse is nothing more than hot air, preceded by thought and rarely proceeded by action.

Discourse of it's very nature can do nothing but occasionally change an opinion, and rarely at that.

That would be my observation of late too.

The people doing most of the complaining are the overprivileged of the world, IMO.

People in the third world don't complain; they just get on with it.

Whether you have faith in it or not is irrelevant to me. I'm certainly not Christian. But they're obviously very important to how we got where we are today and shouldn't be altogether ignored. Respect your elders. Even if they're dead.

Respect your elders?  Bad ideas are bad ideas. Clinging to them simply because they are traditional just handicaps progress. The only lesson we need to learn is there is no lesson to be learned from the story of sodom and gamorra.

Zaid says the story of Sodom and Gomorra is VERY applicable to this discussion. He seems to be suggesting that too much gay stuff and sinning in general will bring divine punishment upon all of society. I don’t see ANYTHING relevant about that. God doesn’t punish anyone.
