It would need the support of the 2/3's of the States as well as the supermajority in the House and the Senate. But you can't even get to the state level until getting through the House and the Senate. So let's start there.

The last amendment was passed in '92? I think this is the next logical amendment, we just need ol' dusty to keep opening his mouth.

And I'll add, there has historically been a fair amount of bipartisan support, so it's not totally out there to think it could happen.

You're actually incorrect on two points.  If Congress proposes the amendment, it takes 3/4's of the states to ratify it.  Also, Congress does not need to agree to the amendment at all.  States can propose and ratify the amendment, and Congress is required to hold the convention for it.

This whole sexual assault imbroglio is beside the point.

Kavanaugh is merely a sycophant to power, a lackey typical of the sort Trump surrounds himself with.  He is not a man with a deep awareness and sense of compassion towards society in a broad sense, you know, the kind of person you'd want in a position of power.

He is a yes man to the so-called elite class which Trump exemplifies, and he'll aid in the quest to transfer every last bit of wealth and power away from the people and into the hands of this cabal of thieves who approve of him. 

But, he's against abortion, so he must be a man of God.  (It's amazing how that works!)

That's why he should not be a judge.  That's why Trump and his capos and soldiers want him.

No. Ford and the dems tried to Maliciously destroy Kavanaugh. This is when Kavanaugh gets to clear his name and finally be confirmed.

Clearing one's name from uncorroborated allegations is important. This is what's happening.

No you don’t. It was not legal for kavanaugh to drink alcohol in Maryland until he was 21. If he had been a year older he would have been grandfathered in, but he missed the cut off. The drinking age in Maryland changed on July 1, 1982. Ironically the same date that Bart partied with three of the people Ford said were there.

He was also not allowed to drink in Connecticut where he went to college until he was 21 as well.

She was able to overcome her fear several times per year, but unable to do so for something as important as this? If you don't think that's fishy I can only guess it's your bias clouding your view. Seems an obvious stall for time. And then she was okay to fly, not so afraid after all. It all adds up to keeping her story credible as long as possible while stalling for as long as possible.

I didn't say she lied. I said she either lied or her lawyer declined to relate the offer. Even if she was telling the truth, obvious stall on the part of her lawyers. What kind of lawyer would decline to relate such an offer?

And not knowing how she got home is a small hole in the story? It would have been traumatic in it's own right. 15 years old and apparently stuck outside this house miles from home and she just draws a blank? Not fishy?
