Amanita Muscaria

I came across this mushroom and I want to try it. I’ve heard mixed experiences with it, so I was just curious if anyone wanted to share their experience with this mushroom. Thanks!

Yeah don't go eating it all lol. Ive always overdone it.  Someone on here recommended taking it like alcohol.  Small doses as needed.  Working your way up.

Personally I didn't enjoy it even when I did that.  But to each his/ her own

Steve is right, you eat a little bit at a time. Keep in mind it can take up to 3 hours to kick in.

This mushroom can produce the greatest high known to man, it was probably the ancient soma take about in the vedas, the most legendary drug ever. If you can actually get properly high on this mushroom, nothing else compares. It's not "easy" like psilocybin mushrooms though, where you just eat some mushrooms and then bang you're high. With this mushroom, you need to learn how to dose it properly, how to appreciate the effects, how to respect it, etc. It can actually be very dangerous. I've had a few bad trips on it and let me tell you, it can rip your mind to shreds.

The safest way to begin using this mushroom is to smoke it. You won't get as high smoking it and the chances of a bad trip or overdose are much less. If you overdose eating it you can suffer convulsions, loss of consciousness and a near death experience.

Well said.

First time I ate it,  unprepared.  I ate the whole mushroom which tasted incredible.  I had gas and stomach discomfort within 10 minutes.  Then after probably an hour it came on and just knocked my sense of gravity all over the place.  I didn't know if I was going up or down.

I barfed a few times which was awful because I could barely move.  I missed the trash can.  Gross.

I had blackout spells.  Shivers.  Almost felt like a bad flu.

Then a few years later,  I learned of cooking them.  Then I ate entirely too much again.  Less stomach,  no throwing up.  But it gave me weird flash backs to memories from my childhood,  and let's just say my childhood wasn't all fun and rainbows.

I tried them again same shit.  Mental flip book weirdness and basically terrible body high.  With black outs and extreme fatigue.

I vowed never to do them again but i'm always so intrigued.  In alaska I found literally hundreds of thousands of them.  And I felt like they were calling to me.  So this time I just smoked them.  Slightly pleasant.  No complaints ...but lackluster in my opinion.

Then someone on here told me to dose it like alcohol.

I probably missed the mark again or my body just doesn't like it.  I started off with great energy and happy kind of euphoric.  Then audible hallucinations which I have to say is kinda terrifying since I had never had them before.

All in all I'm sure I was just doing something wrong.

I would try them again,  but i'm not in a rush that's for sure.

Idk about anyone else, but in my personal opinion/experience, Amanita really isn't anything special, that's not to say it doesn't have it's benefits, but yeah i just don't see Amanita as being anything particularly special, definitely not the Soma although it could've been involved and Soma was most likely a mixture of things and not one specific thing. I've done quite a bit of experimentation with Amanita so far, just feels like a natural version of Xanax with a bit of a hallucinogenic twist to me, definitely not my thing, i'd totally take oral DMT/Aya over Amanitas anyday. I'm not necessarily big into GABAergics, i much prefer the Serotonergic Entheogens which imo are THE sacraments, not Amanitas. Amanitas could've been A sacrament, no doubt, but THE sacraments, the real sacraments, are definitely the Serotonergic Entheogens. I'm sure each Entheogen has it's own goodies to offer, all i can say is from my own experience and my own thoughts on the matter.

I'm not opposed to trying Amanitas again a few good times more, but based on what i've experienced with them so far, DMT is waaaaaaaaaaay better. Now some Amanitas in the mix with Aya/oral DMT, that could perhaps be interesting, but for me at least, nothing beats the Serotonergic Entheogens.

DMT is too overtly psychedelic and stimulating. The beauty of amanita is that it has narcotic effects along with it's ultra potent psychedelic properties. You can take amanita daily as a painkiller and energizer, cognitive enhancer and mood brightener. DMT doesn't compare to the versatility of amanita.

True, however i'm not looking for a narcotic-like effect, which i'm sure it is quite versatile and can be used medicinally, but DMT for me is Entheogenic which is what i'm looking for, so far Amanita has been far from Entheogenic at least ime. Not to knock the Amanita though, it's got some usefulness, which i do wonder how it'd go mixed with DMT/Aya or many different kinds of herbals and such, like mixing different plants or what not with the Amanitas and see what comes of that, could be interesting.
