questions regarding my amanita muscaria experiences

New here, hope this is the correct place for this.

A few years back I started down the path of the fly agaric; did the research; found a reputable source for purchasing them; and gave them a try.

I believe my first experience was with something like (Siberian A grade) or some other mumbo jumbo like this.. I remember starting at around 10grams, dried, eaten.  The experience was good.  I upped my dosage to 15grams, again, another pleasant experience.  I believe I topped out at around 18-20grams, and was having some amazing visuals, in fact, at around 20grams I left earth a few times :grin: 

I used the same vendor for another order, this time I wanted to try "a higher potency cap".. so along came a few Washington state grade A++'s, or something like that.  I had read that potency can vary quite a bit, so I started at 7grams with the new caps.. these caps were VERY bright red, very big buttons.. nice looking and smelling. 

About an hour into 7grams of the new caps, I was as sick as a dog.. I had read all about nausea before, but never experienced it with the siberian caps.  I couldn't stop puking all night, saliva running from my mouth.  My body temperature crashed, and I was PROFUSELY cold sweating.  I had to lay in a bathtub of HOT water just to regulate and prevent the shivering.

Needless to say, that was the last time I ever touched the beasts.  Lately though, they have caught my interest again.. So the question I have is.. why did the second batch effect me so badly?  Where they improperly dried?  Did I take too much for that grade of cap?

Hoping someone with experience can shed some light.  Thanks

Amanita muscaria is an extremely variable entheogen...

It is best collected from cold areas and regions of high elevation...

Geographical location is very important concerning A. muscaria...

Siberia is supposed to be the best place to get A. muscaria....but even those vary from batch to batch....

The best thing to do is prep' them properaly...

I have had a few small dose experiences that were great and wanna try the Level 3.
maybe mix a little Psilocybes

Here's what I know about them from my experiences.
There needs to be a conversion of chemicals in the fruit bodies by heating to a specific temp. Go too high, and they are no longer psychoactive, dont go high enough, and they will make you sick.
supposedly, when they are dried, you don't need to do this process, however, as you can see, it's luck of the draw.
Also, as Teotz said, they are an extremely variable ethnogen. I have consumed Grade A washingtons that done nothing at all, and have had death trips at 20grams all from the same bag/order.
Careful with amanitas if you decide to hunt your own. They have kinfolk that are less forgiving.

yep
a few times I tried making tea with 15 grams. it didn't do crap
a couple times I just ate 5 grams of dried caps and it was nice
