I'm perplexed... GREEN MOLD ON MY CASING

I have this unkown strain that always becomes contaminated with green mold. Here's the situation: the first time i used this strain I cased it in peat moss and there was green mold patches on the surface of the casing, but i still got a decent harvest. Now, this has been a reoccuring issue with this particular strain. I've been using spores from the original harvest and i still have this problem with subsequent generations.
BTW i've grown other strains and never have the same problem.
could it be that this particular strain has weak defenses?

Some strains are noted as being 'contam-resistant'. How much this is true, I really don't know. I'd try to think of anything else that might be in common with these trays. . .were the other good ones prepared using the same mix, at the same time, incubated in the same container?
I suppose the strain could be susceptible, but green mold usually takes no prisoners!
