green mold scenario
    #1561258 - 05/19/03 07:37 PM (19 years, 10 months ago)

this is the scenario

noticed casing had a two  small 1/16th of an inch green/gray area, which was quickly noted as the beginning of the killer green mold.

having some peroxide handy, took a cap full, diluted with 10 other capfuls of water.  poured lite amount onto the infected area.

noticed the green has stalled and not booming out to its full forest green intensity

...

decided to remove the mold after reading some posts, took a knife sprayed with lysol wiped clean with a moist paper towel

removed infected green area with the knife, no deep green showing underneath

any other percautions or advice on keeping the rapidily pinning casing free from green mold...have i done enuff?

should i mist the casing layer with a h202/h20 solution?

and what exactly is the salt method, jus sprinkle a bit on the contamintated area?

thanks !!!

Cover that area with salt. Then you should be good .

Often the green in green mold is actually spores in white mold. Adding a solution to spores helps relocate the spores to other areas of your casing or cake as the draining liquid carries them away.
