Can anyone give an ID on possible Oysters?

I came across these fungi growing. Wasn't sure on the ID, so I left them alone. Can anyone give me a positive ID on these in particular?

If you want a positive ID on mushrooms you find, make sure you pick some and bring them back with you. That way you can answer questions about things you didn't think to observe in the field.

Was the stump they were growing on hardwood or pine?

Did they have gills underneath or tubes?

Without actual specimens you're unlikely to be able to answer this, but I'll ask anyway - what color is the spore print?

They are definitely *not* the common variety of Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus sp.). A high percentage of mushrooms with that general appearance, if they have a fleshy texture and aren't inedible because of flavor, are edible. So it's worth picking them to find out. Also, mushrooms that fruit on stumps like that tend to come back year after year, so if you find something good you can come back another time and get more.

Happy mushroomgin!
