So you found the headline of the article interesting basically. But is it really true that so many scientists are changing their minds on the theory of evolution? And if they really are, what changed their minds and what do they believe instead?

A simple google search found a list of some of the current scientists that don’t believe Darwin’s theory is factual. Again I’m not saying it’s rigjt or wrong, just intriguing considering evolution has always been bread and butter with science.

Why would we expect them to believe that "Darwin’s theory" is factual though? Obviously the earliest work on this topic is outdated.

It seemed like a lot of the arguments were basically "natures so complex it must be intelligent design". I find it interesting actually... I've noticed a lot of the physicians and students I've interacted with hold religious beliefs and always wondered how they reconcile those beliefs with their scientific world view. Seems like part of the answer is refusing to dig deeper.

This info is here even before great great grandpa was born.

I was raised southern Baptist. Southern Baptist tends to believe that humanity is simply not meant to know all that God knows. So being raised on those ideals I deeply resisted biology in school at first.

I don't remember exaclty how it happened but at some point I realized that God created the world and all within it and then created us with the ability to observe it, the drive to explore it, and the desire to understand it and our place within it.

I still believe it is important to an individual and perhaps to society and maybe even the entire universe to be open minded and not reject new ideas out of hand, or to believe we know everything, or to think a single person can know everything. A human being can't. Our memory capacity isn't designed to have that capability. Thats why we invented super computers.

Given that God gave us the ability to learn and to know and the drive to explore and a desire to develop our knowledge I think it's worthwhile to feed that. It's there for a reason. And we've done wonderful and terrible things with that knowledge. Dogs are an excellent example. They are evolution on an advanced timescale. Human beings created a best friend, a protector, a pest controller, and a hunting companion from wolves. And abominations to nature as well with deformed breeds that suffer genetic disease.

That's not some theory based on thousands year old evidence. Dog breeds are still evolving. New breeds and cross breeds are formed all the time. Other animals such as polar bear grizzly hybrids are strong living evidence of how evolution works. As the global climate changes and pushes polar bears farther south its entirely possible polar bears will die out and we will instead have grolar bears.

It's ok to question. It's ok to observe the world around you. I'm a better happier person for it. It makes my time in this life worthwhile. Otherwise I legitimately don't see a point. Testing us with life seems like a cruelty in conflict with the supposed benevolance of an all knowing all loving God. If he knows all he would know whether we'd pass or fail without the test so why not just send us straight to hell?

If you don't have a drive or a desire to understand something thats ok. You don't have to make some alternate theory to justify your ignorance. Just say you don't know and you don't care to. Embrace your desire to know other things. That desire is how you grow as a person. That growth is the only way to pass this convoluted idea of a test in life.

Do Human and Chimpanzee DNA Indicate an Evolutionary Relationship?
by Brad Harrub, Ph.D. and Bert Thompson, Ph.D.

Harrub and Thompson consider the very little difference of 1-2% between primates and humans as very great.

The truth is, if we consider the absolute amount of genetic material when comparing primates and humans, the 1-2% difference in DNA represents approximately 80 million different nucleotides (compared to the 3-4 billion nucleotides that make up the entire human genome).

consider the fact that if evolutionists had to pay you one penny for every nucleotide in that 1-2% difference between the human and the chimp, you would walk away with $800,000. Given those proportions, 1-2% does not appear so small, does it? (“The Molecular Evidence of Human Origins.” Creation Vs. Evolution. Paleontology")

These two researchers concluded that homology (or similarity) does not prove common ancestry. Further, the concept of homology in terms of similar genes handed on from a common ancestor has broken down, they said. Yet textbooks and teachers still continue to proclaim that humans and chimps are 98% genetically identical and stop from there.

It up to the scientific mind to overcomplicate their faith. Will be glad to share data that that human from ape or are cousin os bullshit. 1-2% aint small

Add this to the facts.
Harrub and Thompson did a very comprehensive report on researches done from the very beginning and traced the changes and disagreements. From those disagreements, it was said that NewScientist.com reported the event as follows:

It has long been held that we share 98.5 per cent of our genetic material with our closest relatives. That now appears to be wrong. In fact, we share less than 95 per cent of our genetic material, a three-gold increase in the variation between us and chimps. Imagine that 5% but never mind for the critiques. 2% is already huge.

People in the religious / anti science communities love to try to make claims that because this is still a "theory" it somehow makes it less true.  The way science is built is specifically done this way so that we are ever improving by testing and disproving past understandings and has things like this as part of the checks and balance system to make sure assumptions don't get written off as facts.  However there are some things that are well studied, well known, and understood to be as close to factually possible without being able to pass the scientific check process due to the limitations of the situation.  Such as things that happen over insanely long amounts of time.  Just because something is a theory doesn't make it untrue.

Also, this article definitely seems to have a bit of an agenda.  Scientists are ALWAYS going against each other and against current scientific truths specifically because thats what science is about.  To learn and discover more and improve upon what was known before.  This is how you go from thinking the solar system revolves around the earth to revolving around the sun.  Just because some scientists have issue with some specifics on a 19th century theory doesn't immediately invalidate evolution nor cast out all the other information we have learned about it and its related processes.  Species evolution is a real thing, and has actually been witnessed and seen on a more sudden scale then Darwins original theory of birds in the gallopgos.  The "theory" part is only because we can't do tests on the entire planet over millions of years, but we CAN do stuff on the small scale.

tl;dr, anti science site pushing agenda for its own purposes.  Whether its ancient aliens or religious nuts, it's still just anti science propaganda designed to prevent you from thinking, not thinking for yourself.

:whathesaid: aint basin my own notions on that article, (havent check its content yet)
I just want a proof it as a fact and passed theory phase that man is not yet evolution @ its peak, anyway its an individual choice.
No butt hurt in my part we are all curious maybe i would evolve further biologically..
There is still 1k years where most men will fully grasp it.
And wrong theories will be fully dismissed for most men to realize.
Nothing wrong aiming to expand sooner than that.
Aint anti science for BIBLE is SCIENCE.
Science and human mind is a a gift from the HEAVENS to further expand thy faith.
As all science proven facts are already written long time ago.
Eg. the existence of antipodes pointing that the earth is round but that truth is suppressed in the politics of the power club, the components of the human body attesting to earth as its source(dust&water), the principle of “first man” creation, and about virus and bacteria as part of God’s creation for a purpose

Not until most or all men can travel the stars at the speed of light without burning. Thats the problem purely clinging to biology alone.
-1 John 3:2 tells us, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
Philippians 3:21 is more explicit: It states that God will “change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body

And id rather be a lowly human to travel than a higher mind ape. :strokebeard:

Evolution doesn't have some kind of peak perfection, and biologically it's not something that an individual achieves. Evolution is gradual changes over time in populations fueled by survival and success of certain genes and mutations. And sexuality.

Thanks for breakin that down.
And i think ive red that evolution also works as to further acclimate and harden a specie

Isnt a 2-5% difference in the gene pool not a huge difference?

I just find it huge to be fully descendant of them.
i love ape man pampering my hair, me longing for them not to evolve futher like in planet of the apes. As they are the most sweet beings who are master of innocence of "here and now" just like my other loving pets as i love them.
Hope yah dont get me wrong, sorry for me being sounds so mean.

Me just thinkin critically as im not a fan of big bang theory from my days at 19th was glad theory of Initial singularity(came at 20th).
Pls educate me further that were INFACT where descendants
