Joe Rogans "Talking Monkeys in Space" - Evolution

"All I'm saying is maybe god made a monkey that doesn't like to think its a monkey and lies a lot."
The full special airs tomorrow(June 20th) on Spike TV.
If there is any kind of "counter culture" Joe Rogan is a major leader with his comedy on god and his comical ways of describing DMT to the masses.

I love DMT and he is 50/50 w/ me. he ignores thhe spiritual from what ive seen (personally I think that's a needed side view in our corner of the drug world) and gives voice to the unknown counter culture.

Yeah, Joe Rogan is definitely cool in my book. He's got more consciousness directed towards his good intentions than most people. If you want to splint hairs and say he's this or he's that, go for it, but for our society he's almost as good as it's gonna get, I'm not too picky when it comes to reformers. I'm probably not gonna agree with ya on 10 out of 10 things but I'd be stupid not to support someone who is 7/10 when everybody else is shooting an O-for __.

To anyone who dislikes him, why do you think Joe Rogan is a joke? I'd appreciate an explanation for your opinion, and I'd take your argument much more seriously if it was without insults.

Because just the things he says and talks about. To me he just comes off as a typical druggie stoner, but he used to host fear factor, which just makes it laughable.

are you serious?
his impromptu yet famous 2003 "dmt interview" voided his credibility on the subject; for one, he spouted theories as facts and basically described the experience verbatim as terrence mckenna described it in 'alien love' from his alien dreamtime speech in 1993, without giving him credit. also, he claimed he saw a perfect buddha appear right in front of him...what a coincidence.. Iggy Pop claimed he saw the same thing, during a Stuff interview two years before..
yet this man has the nerve to call out another comedian for stealing his material?
ha.

Yeah I agree, some of his theories are really far-fetched. Sounds like stoner babble to me and I can't take any of that seriously.

So what if he's a druggie stoner? And he admit's in his comedy routines that fear factor is fucking stupid.

at least he's not saying DMT makes you worship the devil and nobody in their right mind should ever try it
some of you people are so damned disagreeable
I understand if you feel he is endangering it somehow, that's a different story

what a coincidence. they have a similar event back at my fav forum...dmt-nexus. is it common for people to have little alien entities tell them "do not be astonished"?
recognize alien love I can appreciate his enthusiasm for dmt, but that's about it. he's not even that funny, and he was a commentator on the very thing hicks despised: barbaric distractions.

Because to me it seems like he just likes to get high basically. And he's famous, so when he talks about these things nobody is going to take him seriously.

Yes, I'm clearly serious, and the fact that you would even ask me that question in an attempt to convey the idea that even considering Joe Rogan not being a joke is ridiculous makes me brush off the most of the impact of your argument. Shit man, just because I'm not informed about the dude doesn't mean I'm stupid and can't come to rational conclusions. I'm asking you, those with opposing opinions, to inform me to the reasons you think he is a joke, but don't try and convince or sway my opinion of the guy with petty argument tactics like doubting the legitimacy of opinion. Shit man, how can ya ever expect someone who disagrees with you to be open-minded towards yourself when ya insult them like that.

you can dance around the fact that the man is unoriginal and hypocritical all you want. you dissecting "are you serious" doesn't address the so-called insult anyway.
