Did you sterilize them for an hour, also did you let them cool ? You might want too explain a bit more in detail !

ya, I pressure cooked em for 20mins at 15 psi, and yes I let them cool.

Or buy a gallon of spring water from your gorcery store for <$1.00 . Tap water is the DEVIL. Even pressure cooked for a full hour @15 psi, it still contaminates jars. At least the tap water around here does. If it's been 5 days and no growth at all, you could still be in the game since no other colors are showing up. Sometimes germination takes longer than a week but usually not. If still no growth after 2 weeks, I'd toss them.

tap water is fine, dont listen to these ppl. The chlorine is gonbe after about a minute once boiling. I bet your jars are showing germination right now.

I dont think i would ever use my tapwater. I've killed too many fish and plants with it. If it wasnt for the water softener it might be ok. The fish people always said the salt from the water softener is what killed the fish. So i dunno, maybe boil the hell outta it first?

Just letting everyone know. 6 of 12 have started to show mycel. But next time I will still use distilled water. Peace, and thanks for the info.
