CBD oil vendors

I don't think this post will violate the no sources rule at The Shroomery, since I'm not asking about a psychoactive substance.  I'm asking about CBD oil.  I'm just now getting into it. 

What are some of the better CBD oil vendors?  Rate them on quality, price, etc.  I did a search last night and found a pretty good vendor that has 1000MG bottle for $70.00, but you guys are probably more experienced and may know of one even better.  Thanks.

Yes, but I am new to this. It seems okay. :shrug:

I like this stuff too. It is more expensive, you can get it at a lot of places. I think it is imported from europe.
I paid way too much the first time I bought it.

Thanks.  But man, I'm thinking that even if Lazarus isn't the best, the price makes up for whatever it lacks in quality.  Even if you had to take more Lazarus, it's still more cost effective.  Or am I wrong?

I'd recommend buying pure CBD over hemp oil, as it's more cost effective.

Haven't tried them yet but this CO hemp farm sells 20-15$ grams of pure CBD: http://www.hasshempcolorado.com/product/cbd-isolate

They are out of stock of pure CBD for now it seems, but I messaged them awhile back asking about the terp infused CBD and they said they would re stock before long. Should get an email from them if they remember.

Before I was spending 20-30$/g which is still cheaper then most hemp oil I've seen. Also pure CBD crystals can be melted/dissolved fairly easily though they are not water soluble in a pure form.

yah I think most ppl these days fuck with the distillate and then use a liquifier and add it to terp sauce. that way u can dose it proper n also control ur flavour

It's pretty nice, some hemp oils might have other medicinal components. But many seem very overpriced for the CBD content.

Been wanting to try mixing CBD/terpenes into tincture, both cannabis tincture and other herbs. Seems like a great combo.

IME, full spectrum hemp extracts with CBD are more effective for anxiety/relaxation than CBD isolate.

I've tried cbdistilleries isolate/tincture, charlottes web tincture, and a couple others. So far the Dutch Naturals tincture has been the best. It has more CBN than most tinctures, and is made from the flower at the top of organically grown hemp plants only. Great stuff. It's like $32 for a 10ml bottle with 800mg of CBD, as well as other cannabinoids & terpenes.

Have you tried mixing pure CBD with terpene blends? Or with cannabis extracts? That's what I like it for, definitely can be very relaxing and helps with THC anxiety in the right ratio.

I'd be interested to try some of those hemp tinctures but I am a cheap ass and try not to spend too much on plants/extracts these days. It's a lot more cost effective to make them when possible.

Yeah, if you can make your own extracts, that's the way to go. The other week I tried making some rso from hemp trim and burned it all somehow. Didn't think that'd be possible in a slow cooker... So I just threw some butter in the pot and tried salvaging what I could that way.

And No, I haven't tried mixing isolate and terpenes alone. I've infused MCT oil (c:8 & c:10 blend) with isolate and mango terpenes to make vape juice though, and that has worked pretty well. Do you dab the terp/isolate mixture?

dewd u always gotta use some type of bain marie even with a slow cooker. I usually barely even use heat.

Yeah I dab or smoke it on bowls usually, sometimes just CBP/terps other times I mix in kief and or hash oil which can be really tasty & potent.

Also made some vape juice but I need a new oil syringe, got a nice glass one and it broke the first use... But the seller refunded me at least.

Fuck going through vendors. They are all overpriced. Just make YOUR OWN cbd oil YOURSELF.

Buy a high cbd strain of cannabis like ACDC or Harlequin. Decarboxylize it. 150 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour or 130 degrees Fahrenheit for 90 minutes. Use food grade alcohol, NOT rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol causes unwanted chemical reactions. Strain it with a thin muslin cloth. Do NOT use coffee filters to strain it, you will waste a ton of oil.

A good high cbd strain will yield about 1 gram of oil for every 5 grams of flower you use. I can get flower for around $10/gram. $50 for a gram of oil beats the hell out of the prices that the vendors want to charge. I make my own cannabis pain balm which works better than the shit at the dispensaries and it's all vegan and organic and costs way way less to produce myself.

Also, when I'm making my topical balm, I use both decarbed weed and NON-decarbed weed. Decarbed weed has thc and cbd in it but NON decarbed weed has thcA and cbdA, the raw unactivated forms. You need BOTH the acid form and non acid forms of cannabinoids for TRUE SYNERGISTIC HEALING. I focus on thca, cbda, thc and cbd. I ALWAYS use decarbed weed AND raw weed.

I don't believe in using isolates. There are over 450 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant, cbd and thc are only 2 and they are NOT the only chemicals doing what you need for your medical condition. You need ALL cannabinoids because they all create a SYNERGISTIC effect. Terpenes also help to get you high.

That's a solid idea but for one not everyone has high CBD bud available, and even where available it can be pricey. 10-15/g is what I've seen it go for in stores here.

I still think buying pure CBD from a hemp farm is the most cost effective, but it's also probably less medicinal then a full spectrum oil with other components. So your method is definitely worth a try.

Also do you evaporate the alcohol? Or are you making an alcohol tincture essentially? I believe that would be different then hemp oils, which are pressed/distilled in other ways from what I've read. Could be wrong though :strokebeard:

What I've heard is that you don't want to be getting your oil from hemp. Hemp is a completely different species (although similar) to the MARIJUANA plant. Hemp does not have a super high cbd content compared to MARIJUANA strains like acdc, harlequin, charlotte's web, etc. Those are all marijuana strains, not hemp.

There is also a difference between hemp oil, and cbd oil. Hemp oil comes from the seeds, cbd oil comes from the trichomes. Plus, there is TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS of misinformation out there.

It all depends on how it is made. 99% pure CBD is the same if it's from hemp or cannabis, except hemp products are in more of a legal grey area.

And an oil with 500mg CBD in the bottle will be pretty similar regardless what it's made from. Though obviously cannabis oil might contain more medicinal components, hemp probably has more then just CBD as well though.

Where did you hear that about hemp/CBD oil? Also hemp probably has trichomes as well just in smaller amounts. But I agree there is a lot of misinformation for sure.
