i find WBS to be dirty as fuck. I hate working with it. In order to get the grains not to stick I need to spend tons of time rinsing it. it always makes a huge mess.  I much prefer oats. I'm sure guys will post up saying they prefer WBS but thats just been my experience.

If wbs is what you got, I suggest Fooman's wbs prep while your at it look at these experiments WBS hydration methods and Wbs Hyd/Colonization times

Just read through them all. Appreciate the info, friend. Seems like it would save a lot of time, I will try foomans method next. Do you find that the 24h soak is not entirely necessary. Are the endospores a big issue?

if you are using a PC properly, you wont need to worry about the endospores.
The thing to worry about is hydration. 24hrs is not necessary for me. I do it sometimes, but in reality its more like 8-9hrs. soak before bed, strain and load jars in the morning, before using the PC for 90min after it hits 15psi.

Fooman's prep is where it's at. Quick and easy. Just rinse until your water is clear. There is a set number of times to rinse in the TEK, ignore that.

I don't even soak my wbs. What I do is rinse rinse rinse till the run off is clear. I do it in the bathtub cuz it's faster. Rinse with cold water. Then switch it over to hot and fill the pot a few inches over the seed. Bring to the stove and put on medium heat. Then, I don't even time it. What I do is every 5 minutes, scoop out a few seeds and push ur nail thru one of the red millet seeds. U want it al dente. Not too dry, but not mushy. As soon as I get the desired texture of my seed I strain and let cool b4 loading jars.

Just leave the heat on the lower side. I do all my grains this way and it works for me. Don't blindly follow times that people post. Use them as a guide. And use ur eyes and ur hands to get it right. U can see/feel when the seed is hydrated.

WBS works wonders. Referr to this
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17252080/fpart/all/vc/1 tek very easy to follow and I've had great success with it.

I use Frank's coir and pasterization teks as well

If it makes a huge mess you need a bigger strainer, maybe with a finer mesh. It isn't any messier than making noodles

You guys can simmer and shit all you want, but I'm telling you, you can't beat rinsing some grain, boiling some water, dumping some grain in and coming back in an hour for speed or reliability
