Half the population is below average intelligence and that's all it takes to elect someone president. If the president had to take something as simple as a cizitenship test, he never would have become president.

Trump being president says nothing about his intelligence, it says everything about the lack of intelligence of the people who voted for him.

What is the equivalence you're getting at?

That being president requires more intelligence than being a surgeon?

There are more surgeons than supermodels.

Does that mean supermodels are smarter than surgeons?

Unfortunately I don't think that's true at all. You just have to be able to win a popularity contest. It's a specific talent or skillset that Trump has in spades.

He's got a genius level ability to get attention and influence certain people. I don't think that translates to general intelligence. I think by 2020 everyone but his core supporters will be tired of his bullshit though.

People get tired of falling for the same con over and over again.

Intelligence is not the same thing as knowledge. There's plenty of unintelligent doctors and intelligent plumbers out there.
