Who here still uses Winamp?

It has to be the best digital music player I have ever used. I have been using it since 2000 and have always found it to be the most reliable and have the best all around performance.

I love you Winamp, you are the single best piece of freeware that I have ever downloaded.

What do you guys run your music through if you do not use winamp?

i remember winamp.  baller.  Had the EQ and shit.  I use what ever comes on my phone now.  Seems to work well.

Why would anyone want Mac or Windows?  Windows never quits shoving updates down your throat and Mac is just so expensive for the same exact hardware that's in a PC.

Nice to see a few people use it still. I have VLC for my phone but recently was told Winamp is available for mobile haha.

VLC is a close runner up but where it is awesome for video its just does not have what Winamp has. The EQ on winam is awesome, it also seems to level tracks a lot better.

I have never heard of Oppo bdp-105 or Foobar200 I should look them up.

Windows comes with the stock WMP I think, tho it is more of an app than program now it seems haha Tho I found WM to always sound like garbage.

I still use it though I rarely play music from my HDD, I usually just Youtube music now. It also helps me find new bands and stuff.

Its picky with movies, but I just use VLC for movies. It plays pretty much every format haha

Winamp’s visualizer is still the best I’ve come across. Still use it to this day after discovering it almost a decade ago.

If anyone has suggestions for a visualizer that rivals Winamp’s Milkdrop, please share!

I see winamp on my windows machines. I love it. It has a simple interface. I love the visualizer, it has
Got to be the best visualizer I've seen from a music player.

And I can use it to sync my ipod classic so no need for iTunes (unless I want to restore it.)

Winamp has always been the best, for mp3's! I can remember listening to tunes on it back when I was limited to 4kB/s (modems....gotta love them!). I could listen to the first half of the tune way before it was done downloading. When Napster came out it had a built in mp3 player...but that one sucked.

I prefer foobar2000 unless I need something like a crossfade, which is super rare.

Of course I barely even use it now that Spotify controls the music industry

I haven't used Winamp in a while. I use VLC for MP3/CD/DVD (not much these days), and MPC-HC for downloaded movie files. MPC-HC (used to be just Media Player Classic) resembles Windows Media Player from Windows 98 or so.
