Better Liter, Quicker Program in place of itunes?

anyone know of a good program for ipod that is quicker, liter, and all in all more user friendly and whatnot?  i remember one form a while ago but....dont remember it

do you need to be able to download songs with it, or just transfer stuff and edit playlists?

just lookin for something that i can just edit my playlist with, add and remove songs and such.  and yes, there are other third party, like underground programs that work with ipod.  there are actualy alot!  thats why im asking for which one someone can suggest as the best.  i remember there was a thread about ipods some time back where someone mentioned it.
it adds songs to ipod much quicker than itunes, and doesnt slow the computer up half as much.  altho i forgot which one it was.

my favorite has always been windows media player..actually it used to be not so good but I like using it now, it's quick and light.

i wasnt aware that winamp and media player enabled u to add songs to your ipod?

they can but you need a different program to convert downloaded/ripped MP3's with a specific ipod codec. hence why i have an open source sansa :awesome:

the best itunes alternative WITHOUT hacking would be SHAREPOD. It's great.

i guess you don't even need to download a codec, support is built in with the newest version of winamp
