Merkel is the establishment head of the EU....is she far-right? :flowstone:

No, shes a centrist neoliberal who isnt providing any answers to the working class, thus the rise of the far right and left.

You think pragmatism is the answer but its not. People dont want to be pacified with platitudes about unity and bipartisanship, they want results. For the far right, results mean walling their nation off and kicking brown people out to preserve what little wealth they have. For the left that means taking control of the wealth from the oligarchs who abuse us with it.

Perfect example being the recent US election. Trump won because Hillary was useless and everyone saw through her bs. But Bernie would have won because he had real working class solutions, not platitudes and IdPol.

Or how Corbyn's leftist manifesto caused the biggest swing in UK politics since WW2. Or how 'woke baes' like Trudeau and Macron already have lower approvals than Trump.

Neoliberalism has failed.

bullshit. she is an ultra liberal multiculty shill who loves money, and loves feeding the bullshit line to idiot leftists to inundate their nations with crime, and then accept the rise in violence, but then condemn the right for witnessing and trying to stop such bullshit.

el bullshitto.

walling off the nations are what saves Europe. you cannot have no borders, this lets liberal cunts like Merkel get away with draining people's wallets for the sake of her ultimate control of the EU.

all the left in Europe wants is more cuckoldry.

not IdPol? i don't think so. no platitudes?

the entire election was done using platitudes to garner a base.

"i'll give your free healthcare" was the actual LINE, when we all know that that is a meaningless PLATITUDE, and really what he means is "money will not be an issue to those who want to go to college or university, cause our taxes will pay for it."

which is just really some double-think, but put nicely into a nice summary platitude.

some manifesto of slogans and bullshit got some idiots excited. no kidding.

Read up on Corbyn and his historic upset, the new labour manifesto. How his own party tried to sabotage him because they know how popular an actual leftist message is (parallels with Bernie and DNC).

Thats probably the best clearcut, real world example of the idea behind "Bernie would have won." That is: put forth an actual leftist message and people will react positively to it. And thats not to say Corbyn turned Tories into socialists, but he turned people out to vote (73% of young people in the UK, thats amazing). And thats the thing, we dont need to convert conservatives, we just need to tap into the biggest demo there is: the nonvoter (roughly 40% of US adults).

The problem is we get these milquetoast centrists and people see right through that shit. Nobody wants a fake politician, a "real" right winger will beat a fake leftist every time.

I'm starting to ramble now, but without delving into specific policy positions, suffice to say that people in general are more open to leftist ideals than the cynical media gives them credit for, so we shouldnt shy away from them, especially when we see the shyness of the centrists isnt doing us any favors. Rock star Obama lost us the House, Senate, SCOTUS, POTUS, 700 state legislature seats and about a dozen governorships. People are done being placated, or, at least enough people for it to have a serious effect on our political landscape.

you know, you gotta wonder, whether it's really Trump who's got everyone so riled up, or if it's just the wont of something to believe in.

Trump is just a means to an ends for most. Makes the right look legitimate to righties, the left look amazing to lefties, and the center look like goldilocks porridge to centrists.

For me though, its more about peeling back the mask of our political machine. Most of what Trump is doing is no different than what Bush or Obama or Clinton would be doing: more war, more austerity for the poor, apathy towards basically everything else. Trump's just doing it without the robot language and the high fives with Beyonce. He puts the proper ugly face on the ugly behavior of our political establishment, whether hes a part of it or not.

When you say shit like this, does it make sense to you? Or do you know its bs?

Trying to say im a hypocrite for wanting to beat up nazis whilst supporting single payer healthcare is about the dumbest argument ive seen you make.

Where are these "Nazis" you speak of?

Ben is a virgin lepruchaun who speaks in complete sentences and is therefore the Chomsky of the right.

Antifa is a decentralized group of people who use direct action to counter fascism.

Don't lie to her, trying to stop Ben Shapiro, Milo and Ann Coulter from speaking isn't countering "fascism".

You should be embarrassed to post such nonsense.

Everyone tune in for another round of "meticulously explain how im a racist!"

Back again is our 4 year long reigning champion: qman!

So you obviously don't want to answer some basic questions, I wonder why.

Instead, you make another baseless accusation.

We get it, people that want border enforcement and the current immigration laws enforced are racist.

You do realize Trump got elected US President.
