They weren't plates.. They were buckets. Literal 5 gallon buckets. I get the "church needs donations to keep going and doing what it does" or whatever you want to say, but you'd think after all that's happened they'd give it a couple of weeks. No doubt Joel could easily cover what he collects in those couple of weeks.

And fuck Joel and "all he's done" or what other people haven't... I can't speak for anyone else but I'm blasting him for being the flaming douche nozzle of a hypocrite he is. From your OP it seems like you are defending Christian churches in general, rather than Joel Osteen.  The fact that other churches led volunteer efforts doesn't do anything to help Joel Osteen's case.  I'm not talking shit, by the way.

Joel Osteen is very rich and receives money for his purported piety, so it's different for him to do nothing to help than for an average Joe on these boards not to help.
