I think we have a few million years left.  Extinction will come when we evolve into something else, rather than dying out.

A massive die off is actually very common.

A near extinction event has occured many times and often enough TO BE SOON AGAIN.

Bottlenecks certainly have occurred and will occur again.  I think its worth pointing out that civilization collapsing is far from extinction.  I've see these types of conversions conflate the two before.

Right now we have 7.5 billion humans on earth.  We have proven ability to thrive in pre-industrial conditions everywhere but antartica, from the arctic circle to the sahara and in every ecosystem in between.  Around 10,000 humans is a viable population to keep from going extinct.  That means some even would need to kill 99.9998667% of people for there to be extinction.  Its not happening anytime soon.

It took tens of thousands of years for the dinosaur's mass extinction event after the asteroid.  An extinction level asteroid could come today, it would take tens of thousands of years for humanity to die out.

The categories less than 10,000 years in the poll are laughably short.

Not extinction, but evolution.

Still, the proto-human species is considered extinct.  It didn't die out, it evolved.  Its common knowledge that most species that have existed are extinct.  What is not common knowledge is how many went extinct by dying out vs how many went extinct by evolving.  That is a question I don't know the answer too but would love to find out.

Genetic engineering and cyborg technology open up vast new possibilities for evolution.  I foresee humanity not just evolving into another species, but speciating into many different species.  We will be the common ancestor to a host of species.

There are situations that could cause it moderately rapidly... However, odds are weighed against the current pace of technical advance they wouldn't likely wipe us out. The window for such events varies by tens-hundreds of millions of years - it will only be 100-50~ before we will probably be able to live off of the planet sustainably.
