Something there is mysteriously formed,
Existing before Heaven and Earth,
Silent, still, standing alone, unchanging,
All-pervading, unfailing,
I do not know its name; I call it tao.
If forced to give it a name, I call it
Great (ta). Being great, it flows out;
Flowing out means far-reaching;
Being far-reaching, it is said to return.

It's just a shot away..

What's really important is the information being shared/stored, not the chip per se.

There is a giant information database about you. It comes from your posts here, your emails, your credit card purchase history, the GPS on your phone etc. It exists already. You are linked to it.

What is the difference between identifying you by a chip, or through a different biometric means (e.g., a fingerprint or eye scan)?

Generally, arguments against chipping come down to mentioning the bible and "mark of the beast." They have little rationale merit.

I hate the idea of microchipping mostly because it seems like an easier way to control people or could eventually lead down that path. But in saying that it's like badchad said, they already have all that information and pretty much everything about you that has ever been done electronically is stored somewhere, there's just no one actively looking at it unless there's a good reason to be.

I just don't like the idea that all this information that they store on us could be used against us since and hate the people that feel like if you don't do anything wrong you have nothing to hide, laws consistently change and something we're doing now might become illegal later on and even now everyone does something illegal regardless of how minor it may be, just makes me feel like if technology and the algorithms used become advanced it could be used to make a complete totalitarian society at some point if those in control chose to go that route because everyone is under constant surveillance and there could be an immediate response to anything you do that's considered wrong. Might not be for a long time to come or might not happen at all but the potential of it happening eventually is definitely  there in my opinion and would most likely be a gradual build up until it was past the point of no return.

As far as the information they're storing on us, that's already past the point of no return so at this point I don't see much of a difference with microchips compared to all the other ways they're storing data on us.

Seems pretty pointless. It's based on convenience but there was nothing inconvenient about putting change in a vending machine or bringing your work pass to work or turning on lights etc. I could actually see it being annoying maybe accidentally doing things you didn't mean to. Someone's making off it.. what other incentive is there? Is just another product I guess.

It's like how all the cc and debit card commercials tout the convenience over cash. When really cash is faster and more convenient.. they're just hoping you spend more.

Actually there is plenty of rational arguments against mass micro-chipping.

1. Every transaction monitored and taxed.  That $5 you want to give to your niece for her birthday actually deducted $5.10 from your account for transaction fees.  And your niece will have to pay $.10 in taxes for receiving $5 income.

2. The people who run the chips will literally own you.  If you can't buy something since everything is digital through a chip, then you're forced to submit yourselves to the tech owners/money controllers.

3. If you say something they disagree with, they can just shut off your chip and you're done.  They even have cyanide chips that can kill you.

4. Chips can be hacked and manipulated.

I'd rather not totally enslave myself by further submission to their system.  I can survive without using credit cards and banks.
What is so hard to understand about that?

All of your arguments for the chip boil down to "Well, I'm already halfway in chains.  Might as well seal the deal"

My thoughts exactly. Just another way to make people even more lazy. Like you said, most of these things are far from inconveniences and I agree that it would be an annoyance due to misuse or malfunction.

yeah, whoever said they already have all our info anyways and only the religious mark of the beast fucks care about it must be retarded or not have thought before they spoke. If you had a chip your whereabouts would be known at all times, no matter what. That alone should be enough for you to absolutely deny the chip. If it isnt, you are a retard, as previously stated, and i wont be able to explain it to you.

Microchips may have nothing to do with currency. You can easily remove cash independently of chipping. "They" could then "shut you off" without a chip. All the digital information out there can already be hacked and there is an argument that a chip could offer increased security, since the chip might need to physically be present to access data.
