It has NOTHING to do with race, I posted on economic studies about the subject matter.

Why are you race baiting?

"immigration actually raises wages for native workers"

So everyone's complaint about low wages for US workers isn't justifiable because our immigration polices have clearly helped "raises wages for native workers"?

Thats how it is with the loonies, up = down, more = less and so on. You can't discuss facts with them because all they know is their beliefs. Facts are to be cherry picked or else ignored.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

Yes, it does support it.  There is a net positive effect from immigration, I even quoted the article's conclusion.

"The biggest winners from immigration are the owners and other users of immigrant labor. The other big winners are the immigrants themselves...But some native-born Americans have also lost, and those losers likely include a disproportional number of the poorest Americans"

Why do you guys support a policy that redistributes the wealth from poor to rich?

"Although the net benefits to natives from illegal immigrants are small, there is a sizable redistribution effect. Illegal immigration reduces the wages of native workers by an estimated $99 to $118 billion a year, and generates a gain for businesses and other users of immigrants of $107 to $128 billion."

Not really it wasn't.  My claim was actually that there's no evidence to support your claim that immigration lowers wages.  The article you cited definitely supports me on that one.

Again semantics, it lowers wage GROWTH or real wages for the US working class. You know, wages that go down relative to inflation.

A wage that doesn't stay even with inflation goes down in real terms.

"the actual net benefit accruing to natives is small, equal to an estimated two-tenths of 1 percent of GDP."

It seems the only ones who are hit negatively by immigration are highschool dropouts.

Your article is from an anti-immigration website.  They talk about the negatives of immigration, but omit the positives.

Your article shows that immigration slightly hurts native US high school dropouts.  Spoiler alert:  that's NOT the group I'm fighting for; I'm fighting for middle America.

You or your article haven't shown that immigration has a negative impact on middle America.

"from a anti-immigration website"

Total nonsense.

"omit the positives"

Give me a break already, they show plenty of positives, you just don't like who benefits from it.

"I'm fighting for the middle America"

Which includes both high school dropouts AND high school graduates, yet you don't think that's "middle America"?

"your article hasn't shown that immigration has a negative impact on middle America"

Yeah, those hundreds of billions of dollars being redistributed every year from poor to rich has no negative impact.

They make it very clear that immigrants appear to reduce wages of high school dropouts, but they omit the fact that "low-waged workers lose while medium and high-paid workers gain".  Instead they just say "even if the extent of complementarity is at the upper end of the estimated range in the most recent studies, immigration still reduced the wage of native high school dropouts..."

Why do they brush the gains of middle and high income workers like they don't matter?  Because it would hurt their anti-immigration position.

Once again, I don't consider non-high school dropouts to be "the rich".
