A mate and i went for a trip to take some mushroom photos today.
just out of Newcastle. this is in N.E NSW for all you non ozzies.
as you can see the cube annulus is very obvious many cyan 'look alikes' were about too.

So it would seem P. cyanescens are out in force at the moment, aswell as an occasional P. cubensis.

Looks good man!~
In that third picture it looks like you have the non-active Panaeolus antillarum's, along with what appears to be a big stinky piece of dog-crap..
The top two are cubensis, and the bottom two are Copelandia though.
Nice harvest, share more of your hunts in the future ifya can.

Do you think they are all P. antillarum in that photo? might be right, we did have a few non bluing spp as i said. I'd say more likely wallaby / kangaroo shit
Thanks for your comments GGreatOne234 peace.

The biggest one in the 3rd picture looks much to large to be a Panaeolus antillarum

Yeah, it looks like a kangaroo definately shit on your shroom patty.
I would stay clear of something like that. Wouldn't even pick them (in this case they aren't even Copelandia's but, even if they were copelandia i wouldn't even pick um or eat um) -The cow manure has been sitting there for a while ya know, its sort of "clean", but that fresh Kangaroo turd is not acceptable .
And yeah "Copelandia cyanescens" and "Panaeolus cyanescens" are the same shroom.

YEs that third image is of panaeolus antillarum, a non-psychoa active species once thought th o be the 'hysteria' fungi causing accidental hallucinations inmany inthe 1940s.

we didn't collect from the mixed shit pile, a photo was as close as we would physically get
Though we must have got some of the P. cyans photo's mixed up with the P. antillarum as you guys have mentioned. I might take some more photos in the next week or so, there is a small scale Cow paddock down the road from me, i have never checked their so i could be in for a surprise...will let you guys know the outcome.
Thanks MJ: I actually read something very similar just last night in an old Guide book i have.

That cause it is far to cold and dry in melbourne for cubensis and panaeolus species. Ive heard rumours of rare finds, but your better off waiting for the subs after the first cold snaps and rains of April/May. Afterall, subaeruginosa is one of the most potent species in the world. Great pics there Bolwarra - i would also guess that the large one on pic three resembles P. antillarum. Ive never picked cubies in the wild and was going to visit a friend in newcastle, but cancelled - regretting now after seeing your pics...

hey man iv been hunting for the past 2 days... gotten SUCH loads man..... mostly cyans! we have come accross wat we believe could be some cubes, but we dont wanna risk it without proper identification.... the cyans are fine with us at the moment.
they have been tripping real good and we speculate will be in constant supply for the next couple of whiles.....

yeah bro, australia, brissy
getting so many on the daily, we have had such good rain lately... its been raining at night and sunny during the day for a while now !!!!!
they have been extremely good fresh... and between friends, have had no time to dry out we honestly need to get a stash then dry em out.. be been too busy welcoming the season tea has been our prefered method of ingestion....
bolwarra, may i ask what your average dosage is on the cyans?
we have been taking anywhere from 5-10... we arnt real experienced trippers or anything... just some stoners trying some new stuff

Hi WickedClown,
It would help for me if i could zoom into your picture and look closer but;
They appear to be Panaeolus antillarum, Not-active.
One of them looks like it could potentially be a Copelandia-shroom, the little one below the biggest Antillarum on the top of the image. But i would need to see a cleaner image and upcloser.
