Case a birdseed-straw bulk substrate.....or not?

I pastuerized straw for 1 hour at 170 and the birdseed is racing through it...my guess wil be about 5 more days and it will be 100% colonized. These Mazatapecs are loving this medium. Real rope-like rhizomorphs and agressive growth. This is my first straw bulk attempt....should I just let it pin when fully colonized... or should I case?

casing will give you a good even pinset if you patch and fruit at the right time

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
