Yes, all pitbulls are yadda yadda yadda.  A pit bull puppy is a pit bull, yet is friendly, adorable, and playful.  It will continue to be that way until mistreating humans taint it with aggressive garbage. fact.

Stevie wonder did a double blind study for IBM to come up with these facts, and the fact of it is, the man is a genius musician, so obviously his facts are correct. I've never really listened to stevie wonder, couldn't tell you one of his songs, but I heard someone tell me this once, so it has to be factual. The facts don't lie.

Your comparing a mammalian brain many times larger than a reptilian brain of said rattle snake that has additional components to it dogs can dream an preform complex tasks suck as helping the blind navigate. Rattle snakes havent been domesticated by 1000s of years an were the most important tool to early man besides fire an other hunting tools plus dogs dont have flesh rotting venom. Stats can be bias, if a tree falls in the woods an no1 is around to hear it does it make a sound? Other dogs act just as bad in poor situations an up bringings. When a black dude kills a white girl the media has a feild day compared to if its another white person. So not fact but collective reports from biased ppl cause labs dont make a good news story. Ppl have more complexed brains and capable of pure evil when it happens with a dog it simple aggression.
You stated that you have no personal experience with what your talking about just what you've heard. Ppl heard that the earth was flat from "educated N respected" ppl of theyre day but we now know its a sphere. If you've never tasted a mango you cant tell ppl what a mango tastes like an be expected to be taken seriously.

Some dog breeds are dangerous because they of their physiology: they are strong, and their jaws are fierce. If they are abused or otherwise develop psychological problems, they can develop aggression towards humans. It's that simple. Don't try to say I am wrong, either, I've been taking care of dogs in a large-scale kennel for a living for years and now supervise one. I do assess dog temperaments every day as part of my job, and pit bulls are absolutely statistically more likely to be aggressive towards dogs, and are absolutely far more dangerous when they are aggressive towards humans.

Having said that, I don't think the government needs to be playing nanny state. If anything, dog breeds that cause suffering for the dog, like bulldogs, should be banned, before pit bulls.

That's a pretty weak argument IMO. Pretty much any animal is friendly, adorable, and playful as a baby.

Ya, but you are dealing with pits from a broken home.  I would agree that a stronger dog that is abused is more dangerous than a weaker one. That's just logical sense.  High energy and strength + cruel living conditions = hard to maintain beast.

I would love to work in a shelter. I know from the area I live in we would see a lot of aggressive pits. People around here are idiots.  The local shelter doesn't have the room for all of them.  That's why my sister helps, and I do too.  My last dog was a foster I just decided to keep, and the way its looking this dumbass little pomeranian is gonna be mine too.

The pit mastiff my sister has, she got it from the shelter and his tail was broken, and skye still had fleas.  They are overwhelmed out here, jails full, and peoples dogs are getting yanked left and right. Tons of junkies who gave no shits about anything other than getting high.

When exactly does a pitbull go from over friendly playful and loving, to this horrible lockjaw killer humanity has painted it to be?  Doggy puberty hits, all the sudden the dogs pissed at his parents for not being there for him?  Mad cause he got sick once when everyone else wanted to play? Does he start listening to type o negative and shops at hot topic?

I mean seriously.  If we were talking about a different animal, I'd hear out an argument.  But a domesticated dog is that.  A dog that's been bred to be with humans.  If a human adopts a dog of any breed and can't figure it out, they beat it, starve it, neglect it, then lose it to a shelter if it doesn't die.

Clearly you're joking, but yeah I think reaching sexual maturity with gonads intact is in fact a very relevant factor in aggression levels.

A domestic dog is essentially a wolf that's been bred by humans over many generations to serve some purpose. In many cases breeding goals can include breeding out aggressive traits, and in others they can include the exact opposite.

Correct.  Humans control the direction of these animals.  We now have pit bulls as loving in door dogs if you train them that way, or killing machines if you train them that way, and the same can be said about damn near all breeds.  I would assume based on humanity, that every dogbreed is fought somewhere, every dogbreed is on a menu somewhere, every dogbreed has turned on their owner, every dogbreed can be isolated an rejected based on some stereotype, but all of them can be raised to be loved by someone.  If you adopt a mean dog, it's your responsibility to not let it off leash in public settings or let people near it. 

I've never had any dog not like me. Again, I have only hung out with people who take care of their lives more than once. If I meet you and you are a piece of shit, I will ensure I won't meet you again if at all possible.

What are your views on wolves as pets? If someone raises a wolf from a puppy, trains it as one would a dog, and does everything right in training it, do you end up with an animal that's as safe to be around as any dog? Is the "one day it just snapped for no apparent reason" scenario something to be concerned about with a wolf raised in this way, or just an old wives tale kind of thing?

Can't accurately comment as I know nothing about feral wolves. I know people do domesticate them, though I'm sure it's completely different.  I mean theres a house down the road from me that had a lion, a tiger, and a bear they got from a drug dealer who had them chained in his basement.  Two of them are still alive, but the shelter that took them in turned them from killers to happy in their home. My brother worked there for a while cleaning up after them, he said they were extremely friendly, but the shelter still wouldn't let anyone near them.  Either the lion or tiger recently died.

My uncle had a half wolf half husky and it never had any "accidents" :shrug:

A wolf is a wolf. I know someone who had a half-wolf and it was off the walls bat-shit crazy.

OK, fair enough. Neither do I really, but I suspect that selection for behavioral traits was very important in the domestication of wolves into dogs, and that in an individual with the "wrong" genes for domesticability, training can only go so far.
