its regular pf strain. i think it had something to do with right when inoculated they were tottally covered in aluminum foil. so no light evergot to um. thats my speculation anyways. peace

im using the regular pf strain, but my 5 jars are about 75% colonized, and i innoculated them june 28th. But i think it is taking soo long, because i had a light on them , not knowing they needed dark to grow. STUPID ME! heh good job on the 9 dayer, ill remember to leave the tin foil on.

Wow, that is damn quick for the pf strain. Nerd, I think your jars are doing fine, 75% colonized at around 15 days isn't bad at all.

I think I'll try total darkness to see if it makes any difference in any of my birdseed cakes.

So far, I've not noticed any difference in the speed of my strains (though I don't have an extensive selection; just 4 or 5).
