I'm going crazy over here. Does anyone have any suggestions for herbs to help with the detoxification and withdrawel? I don't know if I can do this and keep my sanity.

Don't give up!! I quit 15 years ago. You'll be over the chemical withdrawal in about 4-5 days. Drink plenty of water, keep busy and determined! Good Luck.

4-5 days? Damn, last time it took almost a month to feel normal again. Well, I certainly feel better. A few hours of writing this post I rolled one up out of cigarette butts because I couldn't take it anymore, but since, I have went all of Sunday without one and working on today. Does it ever go completely away? I don't know what is worse, hing a nasty addiction to cigarettes, or having a lifelong battle in your head and torturing yourself by fiending your ass off.

The actual chemical addiction only usually lasts 4-5 days. There will still be a Physiological dependance that usually varies in individuals. It DOES completly go away, yes! In the meantime it really sucks.I did'nt even feel like myself for the longest time.It does end tho.Just remember, you won't have to go through this again if you decide to quit for good.

Once you get over the first two weeks it's not so bad. I managed by replacing one addiction with another and drank about 8 cups of coffee a day. I think crack would work for you.
Good luck.

Nicotania gluaca might help

Anyway marijuana would just make me relax too much and forget that I quit, and do what just comes natural, which would be to compulsively light one up. Not to mention, a cigarette after chonging was a routine thing when I got high because the synergy got me 10X higher

I stumbled upon a few packs of misplaced camels the other day and couldn't take it anymore. It had been 4 days without one and I fucked it again. I regretted it this morning when I went on a nice long hike over some steep cliffs and such. You're right Laz, coffee does help. I was gettnig some nasty chest pains that went away when I quit but last night I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
Smoking is a bitch.
