I really like Flower Head...I think it's balanced well, the other three I wasnt really into at all, now I wouldnt say they suck...I hate to say to someone who has artistic ability that something they worked on sucks....but that it just needs more work. Good job though drawing is tough.

you have the concepts rocking as usual, but you need to focus more on graceful, solidified lines ...
or maybe i'm just that way because my style of drawing is more about the completion rather than the concept ... ie:
detail:
that detail took me about 2 full hours to do, while i was coming down from meth when i used to do shit (his expression should ... express that )
my drawings can take up to 8 hours straight, i guess more sometimes, because i make sure every aspect is flawless ...
presentation is key if you are looking to show drawings to people, but if you are doing it for yourself, then rough concepts will do (imo, of course ...)
on that note, the first one has a whole lot of promise as a finished work ... a lot can be done involving contrasts for the different depths of all parts of it ... maybe try doing a more solidified redo in photoshop? i think it'd turn out epic

the newest illustrator works i have are posted in the 3 Finished Shroom Designs thread, but i have something of a work in progress which probably won't be finished until my new alienware computer arrives, since this computer is pretty much dead ...
it's a tiki design, about 1% complete :

nice work Strump, keep @ it. have you tried using a pen+tablet w/ Illustrator? i believe that's how HB gets his supa-smooth lines. HB, your avatar is causing Flashbacks as always - thanx.

until i can afford a tablet i just zoom in to up to 6400% in order to make sure that each line is seamless and adjust as necessary with the direct selection cursor, moving around points and handles ...
i won't EVER afford a tablet after my new alienware arrives though so i guess i'll just keep on perfecting my current *almost ridiculously anal* style of drawing
if strumpling could put down some solid lines to go with his colored works, he would just completely p3wN my art, his concepts are a lot more involved

The first one is actually really cool, like HB said, you need to work on lines a bit, but with a few months of practice you'll be pumping out really good shit. Try perhaps going over the top on in a pen to make the lines clean and smooth.

Just to point out: I think the first one shows you've got a great sense of dimension, you just need to practice to get more solid control of your lines and you'll be pumping out some amazing things.

hey guys thanks a lot for your feedback - I agree my lines are quite messy - I was drawing these in a room hanging out with several people, not really in total "art mode" heh but even so I do need to sharpen up my skills - I'm thinking eventually I'll be fusing scanned works with photoshop stuff
