illustration commissions for t-shirts ...

i was commissioned to do three t-shirts related to soccer to be printed for different audiences ... the concepts are: a buddha with a soccer ball belly ... a girl holding a soccer ball in some provocative pose ... and a close up of a girls face 3/4 view with doe-like eyes sucking on a lollipop with a soccer ball on the end ...

so i've been sketching in illustrator on the one with the girl and the hibiscus flowers, just the linework so i can then color it as necessary ...





and here's the buddha, in his sketch stages ... i'll work on him tomorrow night after i do a few more hours on the girl ...



and here's a bonus work, since i'm loving my new scanner :wink: ... i did this drawing of a tiki guy on the day i quit opiates, 8 months ago ...

Impressive as usual.  :thumbup:

I really dig the Buddha, for the girl in illustrator I feel there's something missing on her hair.

Can't wait to see the final results.

I wish I had a scanner too, might get one in about a month. I started drawing for the last 3 weeks and would like to share it with the shrommery community and have some feedbacks.

thanks djurg ... yea i gotta work on her hair a bit more, and get her face flowing ... it's rough work without a Wacom tablet, but man, if i can hone my skills for now with a mouse, then once i get a Wacom it's all over ... :wink:

so this is where the girl concept is going ... it's alright, not perfect, but it's coming along ... there will be vines around where the line of the oval is ... maybe even one or two more  hibiscus somewhere else?

i've decided the money i make from these three illustrations will go straight to a nice new snowboard set-up, something epic ... so i have motivation :wink:

yea, it's finally close to completion after a bunch of hours i managed to put in tonight with full focus ... then i show it ...

still have one more complete illustrator drawing of the buddha due right after as well, follwed by concept sketches and a complete version of a girl's face as well ...

color was never discussed by i think i'd have to add a $50/per premium for that much extra work, because i also now work a 40-45 hour shift at an office ... so while i'm working all day and night now, i'm making a solid start ...

but with the $750 im making off these three designs, im heading out to grab my new snowboard setup for this winter, kind of a christmas present for myself ...  i'm all about it :wink: :smile:

Wow, those are looking good. That tiki guy drawing is looking absolutely amazing; how long did you spend on it?

Btw, remember me? Haven't spoken to you in agggggggggggggggges, I thought you'd left. Glad you're still hanging out here :laugh:
