4-Track cassette recorders
    #2391221 -

i was thinking about getting either Tascam MF-P01 Portastudio, or a Fostex X-12(probably the Tascam since it looks a little better quality from the pic)...they're both about $100, but are they really worth it?? are there cheaper ones out there?  if anyone has experience with one of these, what's your opinion??? thanks :mushroom2:

I've used a Tascam 4 track a bunch, it's worth it to get you started in recording.
It can never really sound close to pro, it's just not capable.
But if you wanna mess around with playing music with yourself, or record your garage band, it's perfect.
80-100 bucks sounds about right for a new one.

if thats all the money you have, go for it, you can do lots with those.

if you want good quality though save up a couple more hundred and go digital.
