The past is unpredictable as the future. I think there's something to this saying. In fact I think it's possible to live without any sense of history.

yes the act of predicting the future changes the future.
One problem arrises when one thinks they are predicting future A and then changing it to future B when they haven't predicted future A properly

the "future" as you know it is very predictable.

Science has been in the game of predicting the future since its inception.
It's quite good at it, too, you know

... though the accuracy of those predictions is often poor and often un-repeatable.

Tomorrow the sun shall rise and people will go on seeking for something. Little do they know they already have it and are seeking for remnants of an elusive ghost.
Time only affects those who let it affect them. The way I see it is time is not against me, it is for me. Time is not linear. And its the best teacher this Universe provides. To live without a sense of it is ignorance. That is not the same as living without the past in mind which is to be mindful of the moment.

I think time is linear. In fact (I'll get flamed for this) I think time represents the first dimension because it is a perfect example of a line.

i think time is a byproduct of our universe expanding. just wait till we start shrinkin again and you get to do all this over backwards. time is an infinitesimal and infinite series of 'nows'.

Hey man, Happy Birthday! hehe
Myself, I see time as being linear because we perceive it as such. Doesn't the theory of relativity say a lot about this? Peace.

I think time is quadratic. A linear function has a one on one match up for x and f(x). But with quadratic equations, this is not the case. One x = 2 f(x)'s. How else would time travel be possible?
