what is polyfill exactly ?

what is polyfill exactly and what does it looks like ? I asked where I live (small island of the coast of Europe) in a few shops and of course they absolutely don't know what I'm talking about and as a matter of fact I don't really know what I'm looking for but I desperately need some filters for my jars ! anybody has a picture of the material or some detailed description ? I tried with microporous tape from pharmacies and got too much contamination, and I am currently using filter discs for gravimetrical analysis that are more suited to filter liquid than air... thanks for your help ! Pedro

polyfill is stuff they use to fill pillows....its just polyester fiber that is all fluffy and such....

Polyfill is usually used for pillow stuffing, etc. White, fluffy polyester fibers bagged in bulk, somewhat resembling a white "cotton candy"...very cheap. I have tons, even found some in "batt" form (flat, like a thick fabric)...would be happy to send you some free, as postage would be minimal. PM me if you would like some sent to you...
