Former MEGADETH Drummer Nick Menza Dead At Age 51

"Former MEGADETH drummer Nick Menza allegedly died from a heart failure last night while performing at the club The Baked Potato in LA with his band OHM.

Even Dave Mustaine‘s son, Justis, posted a status on his Facebook page, saying “Rest In Peace Nick Menza”, but we will probably have more details about this soon.

Menza recorded drums on four of MEGADETH‘s albums “Rust In Peace” (1990), “Countdown To Extinction” (1992), “Youthanasia” (1994), and “Cryptic Writings” (1997)."

Damn this really blows, RIP Nick Menza :sad:

I don't know why the hell all these awesome musicians keep dying this year

At least he died doing what he loved though

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking too

Drumming in a metal band for so many years has a way of making you rather physically fit so I'm guessing drugs had something to do with this

Played on Rust in Peace.

Wasn't on Peace Sells (imo their best work) but all those drummers who played with any of the big four for any amount of time are all incredible.

My favorite Megadeath song was pre-Nick Menza, It was Peace Sells, Who's Buying.

It very visually poses the question we all face growing up, in all the nations of the world, and the nature of tyhe conflict that tears the world apart, what will you chase after in life, Peace/Love/Human values (the peace sign) or Money/Career/wealth (the dollar sign)

I made my choice prompted by that song and never regretted it since.
