Yeah, ive seen the dread buns before.

I like mine short cause i get hot too. i run a little hot, semi-warm showers and shorter haircuts are the best.

I have dreads and a full beard, the summertime's heat wave is my enemy. I'm designed to withstand snowstorms and other inclement weather, not blatant heat.

Had dreads when I was younger. Now I get a haircut every other week.  real short on the sides, faded up to maybe 2 in on top. I like to keep it clean. I was a wook for far too long. Now they call me the wook of wallstreet.

Also, I've never heard of devil locks before, but I can't imagine people still do this.

Got a cut in the DRC and the guy didn't even own a pair of scissors. My wife cuts mine now and does a pretty good job of it.

Haircuts are oppression. Why should I allow society to tell me how to cut my hair? Guys feel like they are forced to have short hair because that's what the big corporations tell guys that's what they have to do. Well not me. I will not listen to them.

Its a little more complicated than "big corporations", its society and culture as a whole. like in europe, longer hair for guys is more common, while in the US and north american (Mexico too), short hair is considered more "masculine".

when I get my haircut, I make sure to get it short enough where I don't need to brush my hair because I'm lazy. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Gotta change it up. Hair and facial have a pretty drastic effect on your appearance, so I try and switch em up routinely.

Recently, I did "standard hipster" with shave sides and letting the top grow out for 4-5 months. In the summer, sometimes I'll shave my head with a #1 or #2. I'll do a shorter "messy spike" in between a more regular "business part."

Combining all the hair styles with various bears (scruff beard, full beard, goatee, chinstrap etc) and I look different every other month. Mostly though, I do it for fun.

I couldn't imagine defining myself or anyone else by their hairstyle.

This thread has inspired me to get a hair-cut.  Now I look like a boy, haha.

I like my hair very very short.  I don't like the sensation of having hair over my ears.

I started growing mine in 1989,,,, no cuts, no trims, no scissors until 2012.  And I only trimmed it because it was down to my butt crack, that is when I told myself I would cut it is when it hit my butt.

I still keep it mid-back length.  Me on the left...
