Shroom Phenomenon

Alright, long story short. Me and my partner did shrooms the other day - it was my first time, but he had done it heaps of times prior to now.

At first I didn't even want to trip, but found myself in a world of 'what the fuck is going on'.

So to the weird phenomenon that happened. About 3 and a half hours in, I started to feel sick, which I've heard is normal on shrooms. My partner and I also had decided to smoke weed at this point, because that usually subsides the nausea. At this point I was thinking that this was a bad trip, I was sitting behind my partner when he said 'I'm going to pass out', after he did and I had woken him up, we both gagged at the same time. We had a bucket in the room and a bathroom just next door. He grabbed the bucket and I quickly stumbled to the bathroom, I then threw up, but heard him throwing up too. We both threw up three times, at the exact same time. Once and twice consecutively, and a third time after about a ten second interval after the second.

I want to know if there is a possible explanation as to why we had thrown up at the same time, and if this has happened to anyone else ever before?

It sounds like you guys just tripped yourself out psychologically, when you are tripping you are extremely suggestible and it sounds like you were planning on puking if you brought a bucket. I have never thrown up on shrooms or known anyone else to, but once a guy I knew passed out for a few seconds when it was his first time, he had been worrying about passing out before he started tripping. You two probably just psyched yourselves out.

Psyches tend to lead to moments of synchronicity like this. Telepathy, saying and doing things at the same time, and other synchronic moments in nature will tend to occur, or simply make themselves known to the tripper while tripping. It's quite strange and I still have yet to fully understand the explanation for it. Sometimes I feel like the vibes or energy of tripping just kind of lines everything up at a more "molecular" or energetic or "vibrational" level. I don't know. It's trippy shit when it happens that's for sure.

I completely understand what you mean, however I feel like I am to mention that closer to the beginning of the trip, my partner said he wasn't feeling too great, so I went to grab a bucket just in case (it was so weird walking down the stairs, I can't even explain how weird that was).

It was just such a weird experience to have done something in sync. I mean it's not weird for things to happen in sync, it's where 'jynx' comes from, but throwing up at the same time? Not going to lie, it's quite insane and hard to grasp. Thanks for the great explanation though!

Yeah psychedelics tend to enhance the whole jinx thing. Sometimes they enhance it quite a bit; even more so that you have already experienced. Trust me, you keep doing psychedelics and you'll see what I mean.
