A huge dilemma! Choose wisely! * 2

You read this post when suddenly the unthinkable happens...



The sirens start howling in your neighborhood, you put on the TV and sure enough, emergency broadcasting network, a nuclear attack is in progress, nukes are dropping from the sky all over.

Figuring that now is as good a time as any you plug your oil pipe with all the DMT it will hold and suck in.

But then! Everything goes black and you are faced by.. YOU, but easily 20 years older than you are now. You are wearing some sort of tech implant over your left eye. The other you briefs you:

"Hurry, we don't have much time. In 2 minutes a megaton range hydrogen bomb will hit the nearby army base and set you ablaze, and you die. This is one alternative world of many worlds, no time to explain. There is a way out: If you grab my hand *shows a high tech glove with flickering leds* you will be instantly returned to your third birthday. You will remember nothing but throughout your life there wil be clues that something is not right. They will hopefully result in you being in a safe country when this day comes around next time around. This is the best I can do for you at this point.  25 seconds to impact, CHOOSE NOW!"

He holds out his hand, all the lights on the glove light up.

"TWENTY SECONDS, HURRY! I WILL BE GONE AT TEN SECONDS!"

Now what?

i wouldn't remember my entire life prior to being 3, so it's just pretty much the same as dying and trying again if i say yes. if i say no i just die. obviously yes

I choose death. Let me tell you why.


I was always afraid of the manner in which i will die. Being aware that my death will come instantly and with no pain through a nuclear strike is nothing short of a miracle. A painless death? I cant pass that up. No way.

Plus...why go back to when i was 3? Im not the buisness of repeating my life because i always like to go forward, not back. Forever forward. Basically im saying i am confident and satisfied with my life i lived as of now and if i died today, then whatever. I lived a fantastic life.

for me, the answer is instantly yes

assuming i believe the nukes are real and my death is imminent, i don't really feel i have anything to lose by seeing where one more adventure takes me--there will always be time to die later

Thanks man but to be honest...its the opposite of bravery and being noble.

By choosing death i am choosing to leave my son behind without a father all just so i can fulfill by childish fantasy of dying painlessly. Its extremely selfish and a decision based on fear. But i digress..



But if i returned to my true 3 year old self and time itself for everyone went back to when i was 3 in 1994 then i would feel better about my decision.

The nukes are very real and yes you are a mere few miles away from a megaton blast. You would burst into flames and then be scattered much like in Terminator 2:




Lets for arguments sake say that thats your fate, so no quick evaporation but a 15 second roast.
