straw germination q

I've let and actually have forgotten a basket of straw soakin in the water for a few weeks :can I use it or is it germinated or sth.

that dont sound good to me but if your doing it out doors you might have a chance just pasturize some up if you have more

I wouldnt use it,
I dont soak my straw at all. pasturize for an hour then drain. Seems to me it would have started to rot by now, after a few weeks. Straw colonizes so fast that it would be worth it to you to get nice fresh straw.

even there were snow on them when they stood outside what's difference between days and weeks for straw can you tell me please.
