So many protesters. Evrybody giving a concert there has decided not to go. A list of company including, Dysney, the NFL, Apple and a fuck ton of others are threatning to leave and take its business elsewhere... That means billions of dollar leaving the state. A bunch of business owners will will go bankrupt because of this even if they are against that law.

What are your thoughts on this? Should companies boycott everything and victimize everybody in the state? Should they back off?

It's funny though. All these bands and companies boycotting a state law while doing business and shows in countries in the middle east where the gays are pretty much killed. Hypocrisy at its best

It sucks for me, but I get that there are repercussions for immense stupidity and ignorance.

It does feel kind of lame, like I'm about to live in a ghost town,
but there's something great in that too, lots of open space for new projects!
And hey, maybe this will be the wake up call to stop these southern fart bags from hating on gay people. Once they realize that it's a majorly localized and cultural malfunction.

Also, i don't feel like a victim, it's just a change in the world i've got to deal with.

society decided against gays, for the companys to up and leave, says they are not for the people, society, or their wishes. To truely be accepting of all, means accepting that georgia and north carolina don't want gays. Companys provide a public service, and they have taken all of america's money to fill in these gaps, to boycott a state after raping us all of our money to the point that we can't replace them isn't fair. Furthermore, to simply close up shop shows how little they care about our money, look at all the money wasted by doing so, then 10-20 years from now the laws get changed again and they will just move back? what a complete waste of resources and disrespect for everyones hard work.

lastly if the government outlawed gays everywhere are these company's going to leave america? fuck no, so we should kick those companys asses out of america right now. buisness's have no place for politics, the people run this country or should be

Yeah but imagine the guy who owns a business and deals with Dysney in order to make a profit. That guy can't survive losing such a big customer over a law. What if he doesn't even support that law? What if that business owner happens to be gay? Congrats, you lost your rights and now your gonna lose your business. Woopti doo.

Patlal you might be onto something there, that boycotting Georgia is actually just going to hurt it more than help... i mean it's not like the whole south is a racist, homophobic, fundamentalist dildo, there are gay people here who probably rely on those companies which are leaving to make a living.

I dont know how much good the protests will do. I'm lucky I don't live in one of those states. I have friends who do, however. Their basic freedom to take a piss in a toilet like a human being without fear of fines or imprisonment is a little more important to me than some hypothetical store owner's bottom line.

I saw on the news that Pearl Jam and other bands have cancelled shows in north carolina because of it. Kinda silly IMO, but whatever.
