Dunedin, New Zealand Identification Request

Habitat:
Growing in grass that contains a lot of decaying wood.

Gills:
Pallid to Medium/Dark Brown

Stem:
3-10cm long, 3-8mm thick, hollow.

Cap:
3-10cm diameter, white with a degree of goldish colour in the middle, conical(?), typically concave but older ones are convex

Spore print color:
Brownish/Dark Purplish

Bruising:
Blueish gray

Other information:
Just has a mushroomy scent like the white button ones you'd buy in a store.

Psathyrella candolleana group.
There is no bluish grey bruising.

Cheers! The bruising from my squishing them does look blueish gray, but at the same time I don't know how blueish the grey should be!

Any good for eating or would they be better off in the compost?

Doesn't seem to be much about the edibility of them on google, probably not worth your time.

I tried them a couple weeks ago, and I thought they were pretty good - much better than Psathyrella longistriata!  They had the taste and texture of cooked spinach.
