the warmest i can get them is 80. what about a heating pad? ps the area around them is 80

It would work if you could heat them to about 86 evenly.

Are you using a Tub in tub set up? That works really well for my weiner dog, he bought a 100W submersible fish tank heater and uses that, as well as wraps his tubs in blakets to keep in the heat. He doesn't suggest using a heating pad, although some people think it is the only way to go. There is many teks out there, you just have to search. Good luck!

Yes, the 2-bin incubator is what I"m using now. You can find the directions on making one at www.fungifun.org. Go into the Simple Tek and then click on Incubation. There is a link in that paragraph you can click on that will walk you through it.

Ill tell you this much. If your temps are at 80.. then if you put a heating pad right under the jars on the lowest setting i promise you the temps of the jars will rise to 95.

For me i had to put 2 cardboard peices and like 10 wash clothes in between the jars to get them at a temp around 88.

80 is fine man. the heating pad might give you a day...maybe not even that.
