heating pad

hi I just bought a heating pad and it says its not for use with glass tanks and it shouldnt be on carpet. the thing is I got a plastic terrium and carpet underneath
what should I do

put a towle inbetween the heating pad and the carpet. On the highest setting, a normal heating pad only has a surface temp. of about 175 degrees f.

That would not be cool. Imagine explaining that one to the Police and the Fire Department... and your landlord.... Ouch. But I use one so maybe I should move the damn thing off the carpet. haha.. No.. I'm sure it's good. I keep the temp real low too.

I put a glass mirror inbetween the carpet and the heating pad even better!

and its only like a 16 watt heating pad I have been checking the bottem every so often to make sure it isnt getting to hot and It has been staying at decent temp and has not changed in temp in a while has been staying the same hope nothing goes wrong shouldnt
!!!

i was using a 300 watt aquarium heater-
i made a new incobater to hold at least 70 or so jars-more if i cram them-but the aquar heater wouldnt heatit ,it was to big-i added a heating pad elevated off th floor with plywood-then pad,then incobater-i had to put it on a timer,because it got my jars to hot on low-without the aquarium heater-so i put it a timer-(me-every so often i cut it off-lol)and added the aquarium for moist heat on the insdie
works groovy now-
what im saying is watch it with a pad-they might overheat your jars-mine was a cheapie-15 bucks at rite aid-i have no idea how many watts it is though-
