I enjoyed it.  I also didn't invest all of my time to it initially.  When the Alpha came out I only managed under 10 hours overall.  I definitely played more of the closed beta when I had access to that.  Same thing with the open beta.  I don't know how a game like this was under my radar, but I suppose that's because it's been a while since I've had an interesting game for me.  I digress.  My interest in the game is partly contrived from modern events/conspiratorial thoughts.  SHTF: The MMO

There are so many shtf scenarios, this one is about a virus being planted on bank notes.  More effective than a std I suppose.  Anarchy.  So you, a Strategic Homeland Division agent are assigned the role without a commanding officer.  You'll be assisting the JTF as part of the second wave of SHD agents.  The first wave failed miserably.  So it has a science fiction twist to it, and from there it incorporates you into the role playing aspect of the game.  SO let's begin, this isn't your father's Tom Clancy game and it's apparently an mmo.  It's developed by a company that was bought ought and since then, they have not released a game.  It's been some 8 years and it's finally unveiled.

It comes packed with day 1 DLC access, so pay the full price or prepare to be shorted on the potential.  This is where we can expect to see the end game content.  The first being PvE, the second being a new area that is entirely a pvp questing zone.  The third is a raid and probably some other shit.  But the benefit of wanting to play this game is that there isn't a monthly subscription fee.  So I'll find out if it's worth playing or not, after I've tried the actual content.

So it has the drawbacks, but I didn't think anything was wrong with the gameplay.  I've come across a lot of crappy videos about people crying about how this game sucks.  It's shallow or dull, lacks ingenuity and apparently most of these people are British.  People keep referring to Destiny and comparing and contrasting when the game was literally the beta format.  They cried about bullet sponginess and people not dying from headshots.  I can't believe they made it that far into the game to be disappointed without realizing that there were rpg elements in place.  Complaining about how long it takes to kill enemies when nobody, not a single person made the point that you're compensated by having over 600 bullets for two primary weapons with a handgun with infinite ammo.  The game isn't supposed to be a Halo/CoD/Generic shooter.

So sir, I must ask you...  Why do you feel the way you do?

Also I'm interested in adding more people onto my steam/Uplay.  Or I'll meet others in game, but I figured since I found this thread (For the PC) I'll revive it under a different direction.  Better than, "blah it's bad."

P.S. Shots landed > Weapon DPS

So what are your thoughts so far? I'm seriously considering getting it as a couple of my friends already have, but the beta was enough to make me second guess how much fun and replayability I'd get out of it since I'm not much of a "grind and get-slightly-better-gear-over-time" kind of guy.

If you aren't into grinding and collecting gear, do NOT get this game.

The game it self is not good. Im not going to say its shallow or lacks integrity, what I will say is that the game itself brings nothing new to players that have played MMO's before. Same old generic grind for loot fest.

I didn't like destiny very much. This game is better than destiny in my opinion. However if I were to compare it with another game it would be APB, not apb reloaded.

If you want to play a game like the division I suggest APB reloaded because its free to play.

So what you're saying is that console players will find it new and exciting, and PC players should know better?

No. No where did I mention in my post about console or pc.

It was a joke, because everyone on console is saying the game is great, and everyone on PC is saying its nothing new compared to other TPSMMOs. Similar things have been said about Destiny, where people who've burned out on the traditional grinding MMOs didn't like it, but more casual players find it endlessly entertaining.

i got bored with it in less than a week and just kind of stopped playing.

it's cool at first, but then it becomes very repetitive.
