I used to play Pong.

Galaga was one of the newer games when I quit.

My parents bought the first pong game, and also the shotgun attachment....!
Although, you could aim the shotgun away from the tv screen, and it would still hit the target on the screen....
Wasn't the name of the system called an "Odyssey"....?
Pong is what started it all....

Odyssey!  Right.  I never saw the shotgun.

Yes, Pong started it all.  It was developed, iirc, from technology used in the Vietnam war.

The first and only TV type video like the others were talking about I played for a second was Zelda.

I was like

I miss the arcades; I think all the video games nowadays suck.

I never played Zelda, but I remember the name....
I also never got into all of the millions of different martial arts video games with the combo moves....

The most recent game that stuck with me for a long time, and still play it is Quake III Arena Death Match....
Been playing it for years with a buddy online now, but we used to get together once a week for pizza, some buds, and some Quake when we lived closer....  :hellfuckyeah:

Pong ruled.  Pong and a pizza.  That's livin'.

And yes, we always grade posts and ideas in P&S.  One of the reasons I mostly ignore the forum.

Too much pseudo-intellectual  :stonedjerk:

....But, the ideas in that thread that developed were pretty interesting, to me....
I wasn't busting your chops as much as humoring myself with the first thing that popped into my mind....    :tongue2:

I was kinda busting your chops too. However, there's more going on there than meets the eye (in the forum).

Now I’m not here trying to scold
It’s not as if you ain’t been told
That all that glitters isn’t gold
Messed around and now behold
You caught the monster and that’s cold
Now that you have to deal with it
It’s a little too late to catch a fit

All that glitters isn't gold.

No I quit playing Tom Clancy games after Ghost Recon. I have The new Ghost Recon and Raven Shield, I haven't played them very much, too much stress on my 6600gt.

Plus now I have wireless internet through sprint and I ping about 100, so now I'm limited to what I can play.

Man I'm going to find some game to play right now.

Tribes 1 is the fucking shit. The sequels were garbage, I still play the original

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?
