Never could find a version of that which worked on my emulator and never played the original.
I did play shit loads of Ghosts N' Goblins back in the day and that may be the hardest game I've ever played. Never did beat it.
But yeah it looks like another version of Ghouls with same knight and all and diff setting. Wish I could find a way to play it.

Hell yes! Altered Beast is the absolute shit, there is no question! The classic Sonic games are always good to pick up and play every once in a while, zooming though everything never gets old.

I am pretty sure I have. But I can't get past the part where the hopping skulls are and the imps that drop the spiked balls.
Which part is level 2?

I can do that section in my sleep. The part that gets me is the mutil level one with hopping skulls and a winged demon guarding a door. This comes after battling dragons in two levels but the dragons are pretty beatable if you are patient.
Just read the walkthrough and I"ve made it as far as level six.

Sum of my favs - most are really oldschool....
Galaga (the modded fast shooter was the best!)

Robotron for the Atari 5200 - it used two joysticks like the acrade standup....

River Raid for the Atari 2600 (stole a few months of my life)

Black Dragon, one of my all time favorite arcade games....

JOUST....!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the Commodore 64, there was a game called "Wizball" that I can't find a screenshot of.... But there was also JUMPMAN for the C64....

This list could go on like a list of music.... I have four full CDs with a HUGE collection of arcade roms....

My parents bought the first pong game, and also the shotgun attachment....! Although, you could aim the shotgun away from the tv screen, and it would still hit the target on the screen.... Wasn't the name of the system called an "Odyssey"....? Pong is what started it all....

Odyssey! Right. I never saw the shotgun.
Yes, Pong started it all. It was developed, iirc, from technology used in the Vietnam war.
The first and only TV type video like the others were talking about I played for a second was Zelda.
I was like
I miss the arcades; I think all the video games nowadays suck.

I never played Zelda, but I remember the name.... I also never got into all of the millions of different martial arts video games with the combo moves....
The most recent game that stuck with me for a long time, and still play it is Quake III Arena Death Match.... Been playing it for years with a buddy online now, but we used to get together once a week for pizza, some buds, and some Quake when we lived closer.... :hellfuckyeah:

....But, the ideas in that thread that developed were pretty interesting, to me.... I wasn't busting your chops as much as humoring myself with the first thing that popped into my mind.... I like involved creative speculating, it is sometimes inspiring to my own ideas - which are nothing more than abstract mental musing exercises....

I was kinda busting your chops too. However, there's more going on there than meets the eye (in the forum).
Now I’m not here trying to scold It’s not as if you ain’t been told That all that glitters isn’t gold Messed around and now behold You caught the monster and that’s cold Now that you have to deal with it It’s a little too late to catch a fit

No I quit playing Tom Clancy games after Ghost Recon. I have The new Ghost Recon and Raven Shield, I haven't played them very much, too much stress on my 6600gt.
Plus now I have wireless internet through sprint and I ping about 100, so now I'm limited to what I can play.
Man I'm going to find some game to play right now.

The original 2 Oddworld games on playstation! (forgive the rather shitty xbox one that came later)
The cutscenes in this game still blow me away 10 years later, and the gameplay itself is some of the most original and memorable to this day.

sure did, commander keen was great. I loved all the old apogee titles. I remember playing duke nukem and jazz jackrabbit alongside keen and other titles. I loved the shareware title days, you could go to a computer show and find the vendors with all the floppy disk shareware carts. Buying games for 2 bucks a pop was awesome.
some of my favorite titles:
faxanadu
crystalis
tecmo bowl (99 yard bombs for the win!)
ninja gaiden
rad racer
Ok, i have to stop now, otherwise ill be here all day :P

I dunno if you were posting in the one 90's thread or not, but I posted a video walkthrough of that game. It was my first text based adventure game, and it had me hooked. I'd sleep over my friends house and he'd fall asleep by 10. I'd be up till damn near 6am playing this game on his PC (my family couldn't afford one) and I could never beat it. One of my favorite parts was the ogre. You have great taste in yesteryear games.
