sexual orientaion and tripping

this has happened twice now...once with an old friend, and recently with a new friend. while tripping and after, they've both made it known that now they are not sure of their sexual orientation...they said that during the trip they were really struglling with this issue. now, im not a homo-phobe at all...they're still both two of my best friends, but im just curious about why this happens

Thats happened to me before too. And also someone else I know. I have nothing against gay people either. Im not gay myself, but i thought the entire world turned gay, and my life was like an experiment. I was freaked the fuck out! Most crazy intense things i thought and saw, it was just mad. Im sure im not gay, im not attracted to dudes at all. But that trip also changed everyhting in my life, my pot high is differant, I slowly turned into a hermit kinda. I can't believe I don't like pot anymore, I used to love it, now it's a high I actually don't like. I wish I didn't trip that night because ever since then I havent enjoyed life as much.

Hmm I dont think its anything particular to do with being gay.  I think if the user is "in the closet" and the trip is powerful, the mushrooms may bring out their "true self" if you know what I mean.  Like someone who is shy and starts talking alot once the ride begins.  I remember the first big trip I had.  I went fucking nuts, hanging plush toys all over me and wearing a cowboy hat, and screaming at everyone.  Yeah so I guess we all have our embarassing moments.  :shiftyeyes:

Thats what I think also. You learn alot about yourself tripping. You question things you were sure about before...

I don't think tripping makes you gay. However, once you have tripped hard and seen and understood, and realized universal love, its hard to think about alternative sexual orientation as being a negative or positive thing. It's just different and I think maybe while you're tripping you have to realize you are inebriated and thats not neccessarily who you are all the time. You just have to be careful before jumping to any hasty conclusions.
