That is a weird as hell response. That's pretty much a line you get from people who have eaten some random as hell/exotic meat at one point. "I ate Baboon once, it was decent"

I see what you mean, I am a weird as hell person though.

But the question was do I eat pork, which I took at meaning on the regular, so no I do not eat pork in that way.

I didn't know people didn't like pork. I LOVE IT!

Not by itself, but the second you add any spices or sauces, I am all over it. Unless it's bacon. I love a nice greasy pork chop

Home made pulled pork... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

BACON!!!!... mmmmmmmmmmm

AFAIK most pork is pretty clean and fine to be served rare, any worms die at <140*F. With as treated as most bacon is I doubt there's much risk in eating it raw, but surely safer to cook it. I eat very lightly baked, and super chewy bacon all the time. Then, a more cooked but still chewy piece, then a crispy piece, and finally a burnt piece  :drooling:

I don't like chicharrones, but that's about it AFAIK.

All from the same batch you just cooked haha, it never comes out consistent unless it's made it in the oven

I have eaten lightly cooked bacon all my life, no problems with illness or disease here.

To an extent, depending on how evenly its lined and thus how even the grease is, can leave some pieces burnt to a crisp while others still very soft and chewy (and greasy). For the most part I bake several pounds at a time on a full sheet and pull pieces at different times though.

Tip for roast pork.
After scouring the rind and prior to putting in the oven, pour boiling water over the skin to open up all the cuts and expose the fat. The resulting crackling is :breakthrough:

Wait you guys can't cook consistent bacon? I can. Just cook it over medium-low or so. If you are doing more than one round of it, all you have to do is turn the burner practically off for the last couple of minutes. Then the pan isn't searing hot and the bacon doesn't get flash cooked.

The biggest problems for me cooking it consistently is that I'm impatient. I try to rush it because I just want it in my mouth now.

There is a lot more room for variance baking ~2lbs/90 strips on an 18"x26" sheet than a few strips in a skillet. The most isolate/least-heavily lined pieces can begin to cook much quicker than the rest, and in a 600*F oven the window from perfectly golden to burnt to a crisp is only a couple of minutes.

Even at home though 99% of the time I bake bacon, and only ever cook it on the stove if I'm going to be making bacon barbecue sauce.

Haven't eaten real bacon in ages so I could be corrupted by turkey bacon when I say Crispy ftfw

I've always been curious though... Anyone know what pigs feet taste like? They look gross but I'm sure they must have something worth eating to see them as often as I do.

Taste mostly like how they're prepared IMO/IME; Pretty sure the only reason they're still popular is because of efficiency/resourcefulness, like much soul food. It's still perfectly good meat, even healthier than most pork with a high protein:fat ratio. Easiest way to get a good taste of it might be to just go to a soul food place, but if you're trying to cook them at home I'm fairly certain they need to be boiled for a few hours.
