whats a good spawn/substate ratio?

Im going to be making my WBS spawn this weekend and i wanted to know a good ratio for spawn volume to substrate. I guess pints of spawn per square foot would be a good choice of units.

If you go less than 1 to 10 the colinization will be faster the more spawn the faster. But WTF 1 to 10 is good you get more for your money

Has anyone ever actually used a 1 to 10 ratio. Colonizing must take 2 weeks with 1:10 ratio.

I have done 1 to 10 and takes usually takes a week but up to two weeks but it works just fine

Yes, people have used a 1:10 ratio.
Also people have been using and still use much lower ratios.

Too little will take longer and increase the chances of contamination. I found it to be a penny wise and pound folish situation when it comes to spawn to substrate ratio. Stay with 20% to 40% spawn ratio and just expand quickly in expansion stages in 8 day intervals.
